Amarillo Daily News March 26, 2001 Ernest Rosenbaum Ernest Rosenbaum, 80, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 23, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Rosenbaum worked at Plains Creamery for 32 years and for IBP for 15 years. He served with the Navy during World War II. His wife, Grace S. Rosenbaum, preceded him in death in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Ernest Rosenbaum Jr. of Hot Springs, Ark., and James Spargur of Amarillo; a daughter, Lora Rosenbaum of Amarillo; two brothers, John Rosenbaum of Amarillo and Frank Rosenbaum of Farmington, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Williams was born in Ranger and had lived in Amarillo since 1997. He served with the Air Force in England during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Williams; a stepson, Tommy Weldon Green of Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Peggy Joyce Stubblefield and Judi Gayle Kelley, both of Amarillo; a brother, Jim A. Williams of Portales, N.M.; two sisters, Florence Ford of McLean and Estelle Burrell of Hereford; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News March 26, 2001 Canyon Willie Pauline Miller Willie Pauline "Sue" Miller, 81, of Canyon, died Friday, March 23, 2001, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dreamland Cemetery with the Rev. John Githiga, rector of St. George's Episcopal Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller, born Jan. 11, 1920, departed this life after a short but courageous battle with cancer. To mourn her loss, she leaves behind a brother, Oliver Barnett of Baton Rouge, La.; her children, Laneda Wall and husband Michael of Austin, Charlie Miller Jr., and wife Cookie of Amarillo, Michele Hart and husband Kevin of Lubbock, Kathleen Daniel and husband Lee of Austin; her grandchildren, Tiffani, Kari, Reuben, Alex, Carter, Melissa and Brian; and her great-grandchildren, Danika, Cadence and Jordan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charlie A. Miller, in 1997; and a grandson, Jason Jones, in 1980. She also leaves behind numerous friends who loved her and will miss her deeply, especially Mrs. Bert Rule. She met many of these friends through her passion for collecting dolls. She was not only a collector, but also a very talented maker of reproduction dolls and original doll sculpture. She had a zest for life that touched all those around her, young and old alike. She had a special place in her heart for all children and they returned her love. Sue will be deeply missed. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in First Baptist Church at Colleyville. Arrangements are by Family Funeral Care of Bedford. Mrs. Wilson was born March 29, 1941, at Socorro, Mexico. She worked in retail as a pre-stage clerk. Survivors include a son, Michael Wilson of Lewisville; two daughters, Kimberly Luckett of Grapevine and Kelly Munroe of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Amarillo Daily News March 26, 2001 Area Frank Ruyle Hermesmeyer CLARENDON - Frank Ruyle "Bud" Hermesmeyer, 79, died Saturday, March 24, 2001. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. Hermesmeyer was born Sept. 7, 1921, at Jericho and had lived in Donley County most of his life. He graduated from Clarendon High School in 1941 and attended Baylor University before entering the armed services as a gunner in the Army Air Corps in August 1942. He was discharged as a corporal in 1945. He married Edna Pearl Derrick on April 29, 1942, at Amarillo. He was a Catholic and served 21 years on the Donley County Soil Conservation Board and 22 years in the Southwestern Football Officials Association. He had been a farmer most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nell Hermesmeyer; two sisters, Nettie Hermesmeyer and Nell Britten; two daughters, Jean Karen Hermesmeyer and Judy Claire Hermesmeyer; and a daughter-in-law, Carole Hermesmeyer. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Frank Hermesmeyer Jr., and wife Jeannine of Vancourt, Henry Hermesmeyer and Paul Hermesmeyer, both of Odessa, and John Hermesmeyer and wife Wynelle of Dumas; a daughter, Mary Jo Huseman and husband Bryan of Littlefield; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Citizens Cemetery Association; or St. Mary's Catholic Church Parish Hall Fund in Clarendon. Mrs. Hammack was born Aug. 30, 1913, in Parnell at Hall County and had been a resident of Donley County most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Hedley Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Marvin Kennedy in 1968, Lindsey Canada and Eddie Hammack in 1994; two sons, Hoyce Kennedy and Perry Kennedy; and a brother, Jack Nivens. Survivors include a daughter, Cleta Davis of Little Rock, Ark.; a son, Carroll Kennedy of Colorado City; a brother, R.L. Nivens of Granbury; a daughter-inlaw, Ann Kennedy of Hedley; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hysinger married Jim Hysinger on Feb. 24, 1947, at Rockwall. She moved to Deaf Smith County in 1969. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Steve Hysinger of Wimberley, Larry Hysinger of Houston and Paul Hysinger of Irving; two sisters, Doris Skinner of Euless and Nedra Robbins of Irving; and two grandchildren. Pedro Villarreal, pastor of Iglesia Bautista Primera in Lockney, assisting. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Garcia was a member of Templo Bautista in Plainview. He was a retired self-employed painter and carpenter. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Garcia of Long Beach, Calif., and Lupe Garcia of Plainview; two sons, Robert Garcia and Ricardo Garcia, both of Plainview; and a sister, Maria Perez of Colorado.
