Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with the Rev. Lewis Ellis, pastor of First Baptist Church in Lefors, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery with graveside rites courtesy of the Pampa Chapter No. 65 Order of the Eastern Star. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. McPherson was born March 27, 1917, in Dewey, Okla. She had been a resident of Lefors since 1928. She married Raymond C. McPherson on March 24, 1934, in Wheeler. She was a 50-year member of Pampa Chapter No. 65 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of First Baptist Church of Lefors. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 1, 1998; and a daughter, O. Marie Watson on June 22, 2001. Survivors include a sister, Rachel Ripple of Pampa; a brother-in-law, Robert D. McPherson of Pampa; three grandsons, Roger C. Watson of Wagner, S.C., Steven Watson and Kevin Watson, both of Aiken, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Stratford Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Metzger, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Stratford, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Palmer was born Feb. 14, 1914, in Binger, Okla. She had been a Dumas resident for 3 years. She had been a resident of Stratford since 1947. She and her husband engaged in farming. She married William Ernest Palmer on Jan. 30, 1933, in Liberal, Kan. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Stratford. She loved sitting in her garden watching cloud formations and beautiful sunsets. She was an avid gardener and received many ribbons for her prize-winning vegetables. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 21, 1986; and a granddaughter, Kelly Lynn Irlbeck in 1986. Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Irlbeck and husband, Teddy of Kerrick, Colleen Irlbeck of Dumas and Ernestine Almquist of Arlington; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. "Buck" Kilpatrick HEREFORD - S.G. "Buck" Kilpatrick, 72, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Parkside Chapel with the Rev. Roy Barringer officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Kilpatrick was born July 30, 1929, in Hico, to George and Louise Kilpatrick. He married Geneva Tennison on Dec. 26, 1948, in Fort Worth. He owned his own truck, driving for over 35 years for Western Commercial Transport. He was also terminal manager for many years for Western Commercial Transport of Amarillo. He was also a faithful member of "The old Holly Sugar McDonald's Coffee Club." Survivors include his wife; four sons, Virgil Kilpatrick and Charles Kilpatrick, both of West Memphis, Ark., and Paul Kilpatrick and Coby Kilpatrick, both of Hereford; a daughter, Brenda Johnson of Hereford; two sisters, Mary Finsted of Denton and Laura Lea Barnett of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Wyatt Bartlett officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery at Bellview, N.M., by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Fryar was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Bellview, the son of William and Ida Fryar. He married Coyan Rierson on Dec. 4, 1941, in Clovis. He was a veteran of World War II, having served honorably in the Navy. He was a retired farmer and owned the Morton Food Distributorship in Hereford for several years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 26, 2001 Billy Gayle Wilkison Billy Gayle Wilkison, 71, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001 in Sedalia, Mo. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with close friends officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Wilkison was a native of Amarillo and passed away from a heart attack. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 26 years. He retired as a career Marine aviator in 1972. After retirement he became a real estate broker and financial adviser. He resided in Orange County, Calif., and San Diego, Calif., prior to returning to Amarillo in 1991 to enjoy retirement. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1948 and received a bachelor's degree from Mississippi University. He was involved in local motor home clubs and the National Family Motor Coach Association. He was president and national director of the local Caprock Cruisers Motor Home Club. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jan; a son, Riley Russell Wilkison of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Regina Gail Shoemaker of Rolling Hills, Calif; an aunt, Twillie Mae Jarrell of San Jose, Calif.; a cousin, Nancy Brock of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren, Bradley Shoemaker and Brittany Shoemaker, both of Rolling Hills, Calif.; and numerous cousins. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 26, 2001 Marcia Loramack Wolfer KIHEI, MAUI, HAWAII - Marcia Loramack Wolfer, 80, formerly of Tulia, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, in Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in St. Benedict Monastery in Canyon. Mrs. Wolfer was born in Tulia on Feb. 27, 1921, to Willis A. and Fredda Griffin Hawkins. She grew up in Castro County. She attended elementary school in Hart and Nazareth and graduated from Shamrock High School. She attended West Texas State University and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from San Diego State University. She received her doctorate in speech therapy from the University of Oregon, Eugene. She was a speech therapist for many years in the San Diego public school system. During World War II she served as a WAC in the Secret Service arm of the War Department, stationed in Washington, D.C. She and her husband, Don, spent their retirement years in Sweet Home, Ore., where they were members of the Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Mildred and Gus Hawkins; her parents; and her husband, Donald. Survivors include a daughter, Lita Wergers of Kihei, Maui, Hawaii; a sister, Sister Mary G. Hawkins, OSB, of Canyon; three brothers, Willis A. Hawkins Jr. of Hereford, Dr. Theron C.
