Fern Couture, pastor, and the Rev. Guillermo Morales officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Longoria graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1969. She had worked in the Dimmitt schools since graduation. Mrs. Schell was a member of the First Christian Church where, for many years, she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was a deaconness. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse at Hansford Hospital and Hansford Manor for several years. She was a member of the Golden Spread Senior Citizens Center in Spearman. He moved to Hereford from Amarillo in 1976. He was a truck driver for Lloyd Newton Trucking in Hereford from 1976 to 1986. Mr. Drerup farmed and ranched for Cliff Skiles Farms in Hereford from 1986 until the time of his death. Mr. Stepneck married Joan Crawford in 1958 in France. Survivors include his wife; a son, George M. Stepneck and his wife, Lashawn, of Amarillo; and a grandson, Jason Stepneck of Amarillo. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. McMahan was born in Crawford County, Mo. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1906. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1923. She married Franklin Jefferson McMahan in 1928 at Amarillo. He died in 1966. Mrs. McMahan worked for Jenkin's Brick and Supply for many years until her retirement. Mrs. McMahan was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church for over 75 years, the Ladies Friendship Sunday school class and the Wesley Comrads Sunday school class. She also was a life member of the United Methodist Women and the Rebekah Hannah Circle. She was a 50-year member of the Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include a son, Don McMahan and his wife, Janet, of Amarillo; three grandchildren, John McMahan of Atlanta, Ga., Jack McMahan of Irving and Ann Parker of Amarillo; and four great-grandchildren. Hughes St. Mrs. Shaw was born Jan. 13, 1937, in College Station. In 1944, she came to Amarillo, where she attended Patten and Carver High Schools. She worked as a maintenance supervisor for Travelodge Corp. for 15 years. Survivors include six sons, Billy Shaw, Paul Shaw and David Shaw, all of Amarillo, Bennie Shaw of Dallas, Dwight Shaw of Clarksville and Mark Shaw of Hondo; four daughters, Charlotte White and Eva Shaw, both of Dallas and Lila Shaw and Marie Thomas, both of Amarillo; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Lacy officiating. Burial will be in Cook-Walden / Memorial Hill Cemetery by CookWalden Funeral Home. Mr. Wofford graduated from Lockney High School and from West Texas State Teachers College. His early years were spent as a teacher and administrator in the Texas Panhandle. After service in Burma during World War II, he was employed in civil service positions with the Air Force in Amarillo, Rantoul, Ill., and Enid, Okla. He retired in Plainview. Mr. Wofford and his wife, Leatrice, moved to Austin in the early 1980s. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years. Survivors include two sons, David Wofford and wife, Suzanne, and Marvin Wofford and wife, Melinda; two sisters, Lena Fay Alford and Claudell Norman, both of Plainview; and five grandchildren, Bethany, Erik, Rachel, Sam and Dylan Wofford. The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers be to Memorial United Methodist Church, 6100 Berkman Drive, Austin, TX 78723; or to a favorite charity.
