Mr. Victour was a veteran of the Navy. Occupations after his service include a chef, bus and truck driver and auto and diesel mechanic. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Cemetery at Fort Worth by Greenwood Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Local arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Tybroski was born in Falls County. Before moving to Amarillo in 1998, she lived in Fort Worth and Marlin. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Joe M. Tybroski, preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Woodall of Amarillo; a son, Charles E. Tybroski of Marlin; two sisters, Laura Reid and Doris Willis, both of Waco; and friends, Eugene "Shorty" Smith, Debby and Larry Stalcup and Darla Yelton, all of Amarillo. Amarillo Globe-News May 27, 2001 Billy Jean Lightfoot Billy Jean Lightfoot, 76, of Amarillo, died Friday, May 25, 2001. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Pioneer Chapel at N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Melvin D. Suttle of San Jacinto Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Lightfoot was born in Burkburnett on Nov. 8, 1924, and was raised in Pampa. He married Juanita Ada Ruff on July 8, 1950. The son of Albert and Rudell Lightfoot, Mr. Lightfoot was a devoted husband and father. He served as a paratrooper during World War II, making two combat jumps in Europe. His decorations and citations include the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the American Theatre Campaign Medal, Eame Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 29, 1946. After moving to Amarillo, he worked as a union ironworker for 40 years before retiring. Survivors include his wife Juanita of the home; three sons, John Taylor Lightfoot of El Cajon, Calif., Michael Jean Lightfoot of Amarillo and Bobby Joe Lightfoot of Westmoreland, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Baca was born in Santa Monica, Calif. He had lived in Amarillo most of his life. He worked in outside sales for Applied Industries and had previously worked for Weyerhaeuser for 19 years. He was active in racquetball, basketball and softball. Survivors include his wife, Linda Baca of the home; two sons, Private Derek Nicholas Back of Fort Lewis, Wash., and Jody Ross Baca of the home; a daughter, Toni Davonne Baca of the home; his mother, Priscilla Baca of Amarillo; his father, Louis Baca of Albuquerque, N.M.; three brothers, Jerry Baca of Los Angeles, Earl Baca of Minnesota and Danny Baca of Fort Worth; three sisters, Martha Reshetar of Newark, Del., Carolyn Thornton of Dallas and Carol Longe of Amarillo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Amarillo Globe-News May 27, 2001 Julian Guerrero HEREFORD - Julian Guerrero, 85, died Thursday, May 24, 2001. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today and Monday at Parkside Chapel Funeral Home by Deacon Jesse Guerrero. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in San Jose Catholic Church by Monsignor Arturo Meza as celebrant. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Mr. Guerrero was born Feb. 16, 1916, in Del Rio, the son of Pedro and Anita Guerrero. He married Maria De La Luz. Survivors include four sons, Rodrigo Guerrero, Julio Guerrero, Ramiro Guerrero, all of Del Rio, and Santana Guerrero of Mexico; a daughter, Ernestina Alvarez of Hereford; a brother, Pedro Guerrero of Mexico; a sister, Concepcion Guerrero of Mexico; 39 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News May 27, 2001 William Baldridge William "Judge" Baldridge, 76, died Friday, May 25, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Howard Rhodes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mr. Baldridge was born April 23, 1925, at Mulberry, Ark. He grew up and attended schools in Idalou. He joined the Navy in 1945 and was discharged in 1946. He returned to Lubbock after World War II and farmed there. He also was in partnership at a Gulf service station. He was a route truck driver for Coca-Cola and for a dry cleaning service. In 1955 he moved to Dimmitt and continued farming. He married Dolores James on May 31, 1972, at Clovis, N.M. He grew some of the first cotton in Castro County and many vegetables. He had the first tomato harvest in Castro County. Mr. Baldridge established the first golf course in Dimmitt, now known as Country Club of Dimmitt. He helped to start the Dimmitt Agri Starch plant in Dimmitt. He helped bring the first pheasants to Castro County. He owned Dimmitt Aerial Spraying Service. He retired from farming in 1971. He worked for the USDA as a crop inspector after he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Idalou. Survivors include his wife Dolores; two daughters, Janice Metcalf of Ulysses, Kan., and Karen Newman of Dimmitt; four sons, Jerry Baldridge of Ruidoso, N.M., Roger Allison of Orange, Larry Allison of Amarillo and David Allison of Dimmitt; two brothers, Henry "Red" Baldridge of Lubbock, and W.A. "Bay" Baldridge of Dimmitt; a sister, Reba Hollinsworth of Lubbock; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Grandsons will be pallbearers and grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Mr. Ashford had lived in Borger for 54 years. He retired as an operator from Phillips Petroleum Co. Survivors include three sons, Windell Ashford of Borger, Billy Ashford of Texas and Joe Ashford of Ada, Okla.; two brothers, Steve Ashford of Durant, Okla., and Clifton Ashford of Idabel, Okla.; a sister, Marie Beherns of Mannsville, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Woodward moved to Borger in 1947 from Weleetka. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Amarillo Globe-News May 27, 2001 John Haney DALHART - John Haney, 88, died Saturday, May 26, 2001. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Stratford Cemetery at Stratford with Danny Haney, son of Amarillo, and Dean Whaley, minister of Dalhart Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery at Stratford by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Haney was born in Slaydo on Oct. 23, 1912. His parents were Thomas J. and Carrie (Mitchell) Haney. On Oct. 26, 1934, he married Catherine Robbins at Coleman, where they lived until moving to Stratford in 1943. In 1957, they moved to Conlen, where they operated what was commonly known as "John's store." This business was a service station, grocery and souvenir store, cafe and family residence. In August of 1965, John and Catherine moved to Dalhart, where John went to work for Plateau Natural Gas (which later became People's Natural Gas), and on Oct. 31, 1977, he retired. After retirement he did carpentry and painting and was the crossing guard at the Dalhart Elementary School for many years. John and Catherine are members of the Dalhart Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny Haney and wife Kathleen of Amarillo; a daughter, Joyce Dodson and husband Les of Stratford; a sister, Irene Richardson of Illinois; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of Christian Mothers. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers married Kenny Rogers in 1991 at Bountiful, Utah. She was a homemaker. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Stephen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry C. Lowe of the church officiating. Cremation was by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Norman graduated from Tascosa High School in 1967. For more than 20 years, he lived in Austin, where he was the owner and operator of Hand Feats Furniture. Survivors include four daughters, Maggie Primich and Nivah Norman, both of Nashville, and Rose McCollum and Maria Norman, both of Hawaii; a son, Adam Norman of Hawaii; two brothers, Tom Norman of Amarillo and Jerry Norman of Austin; a sister, Linda Yingling of Oklahoma City; parents, Ed and Betty Norman of Amarillo; grandmother, Artie Bonner of Amarillo; and a grandson. Bob Perry officiating. Mrs. Roach was born in Shamrock on April 1, 1912, to Jeff and Bertie Longshore Harrison. Raised in the Texas Panhandle, she had lived in Texline, Childress and Amarillo. Survivors include her husband, Edgar Roach; two sons, Jerry N. Roach of Kaufman and Donald P. Roach of Richardson; a daughter, Linda McCabe of Argyle; two brothers, Hoover Harrison of Amarillo and Billy Bob Harrison of Alabama; a sister, Inez Bland of Hedley; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News May 27, 2001 Edward Bush Edward Bush, 88, died Friday, May 25, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas McCardle officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories. A native of St. Louis, Mr. Bush had lived in Panama City since November. He was a Baptist and served with the Army during World War II and as a medic with the 69th Division of the 271st Infantry during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Mae Bush. Survivors include three daughters, Carole Phillips and husband Jerry of Panama City, Barbara Fagan of Soldotna, Alaska, and Mary DeBusk of Jacksonville; two brothers; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Keith Springer, Alan Rhoades, Jerry Phillips, Barbara Fagan, Mary DeBuck and Robert Nichols. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
