Services were at 1 p.m. Monday in Spearman Church of Christ with the Rev. Leonard Harper, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Renner was born May 3, 1912, at Wichita Falls. She moved with her family to Hansford County soon after her birth. She attended Old Hansford School through high school. On Jan. 26, 1930, she married Elba F. Thomas and they lived on the Thomas farm, northwest of Spearman, until his death on Oct. 26, 1975. She continued to live on the Thomas farm for 50 years until moving to Spearman. She married Lester Renner in 1980. He died that same year. Survivors include a son, F.W. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Grogan was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico Territory on Dec. 29, 1904, to John F. Dunaway and Mattie Hays Dunaway. The family moved to Canyon in 1910. She had been a resident of Amarillo since her marriage to George B. Grogan on June 18, 1934. She will be remembered for her cheerfulness, kindness to others and consistent good humor and smiles lasting almost a century. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother; and five sisters. He married Juanita Blanks in 1942 at Abilene. He served in the European area during World War II. He was awarded several medals including the Purple Heart in 1944. He lived in Sweetwater in the 1950s and moved to Hereford in 1964. He retired from Holly Sugar Co. in 1982. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1971. Survivors include a son, Joe D. She married Leonard Roberts on Dec. 1, 1923, at Lawton. He died in November 1973. She married Marvin Terry on Jan. 9, 1982, at Wapanucka, and he died in June 1991. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church at Minco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; six sisters; and two brothers. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and Christian. She was a member of Lamount Baptist Church.
