Mrs. Kiser was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. The former Oleta Dempsey married Ray Blevins. Survivors include a son, Ray Blevins of Ireland; a brother, Ted Dempsey of Dallas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Mulford was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Wamego, Kan., to the late Victor Vernon and Bonnie (Allen) Mulford. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. She was born May 28, 1963, in Amarillo. She married Marte Mitchell on July 6, 1984, in Pampa. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Brittany Nichole Mitchell of Wichita Falls and Kimberly Michelle Mitchell of Dumas; a son, Marte Scott Mitchell of Iowa Park; her mother, Judy Keys of Dumas; her father, Jimmey Keys of Amarillo; a sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Robert James Montoya of Clayton, N.M.; mother-in-law, Ruth Swearingim of Skellytown; father and mother-in-law, Danny and Barbara Daniels of Dumas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Tubbs, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Nivens was a former resident of Amarillo and Hereford and had lived in Dumas since 1949. He served with the Marine Corps during World War II. He was born June 6, 1925, in Parnell. He married Alice Briscoe on April 29, 1950, in Clayton, N.M. Mr. Nivens was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas. He also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9022 and the American Legion. He worked for P.F. Younger. He enjoyed playing music for many people. He was a farmer and a rancher. Mr. Nivens was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Ray Pergrem of Amarillo and Starla and Dave Nicholson of Miami; a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Gayle Nivens of Amarillo; two sisters, Ethel Magee of Midfield and Bertie Ayers of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Parks had been a resident of Kiowa for 42 years before moving to Pampa in 1999. He worked for J.E. Carlson Inc., in Pampa and later built nursing homes and residences in Kansas. Amarillo Globe-News, June 29, 2001 Arthur Barclay Jr. - Arthur "Hugh" Barclay Jr., 85, formerly of Amarillo, died Saturday, June 23, 2001. Inurnment services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Dallas / Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Memorial services will be at 5:30 p.m. today in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Amarillo. Arrangements are by DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton. Mr. Barclay was born April 25, 1916, in St. Louis, Mo., to Arthur Hugh Barclay and Kate Snider Barclay. He graduated from Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Mo. He served in the Army during World War II as an engineer equipment maintenance repair officer for the Corps of Engineers. He was discharged at the rank of major. Mr. Barclay married Grace Janet Woodward on May 19, 1939, in Chicago. He was a member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Amarillo. He was the general manager of Southwestern Portland Cement Companies in Bushland at the time of his retirement. He was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Barclay served with various civic organizations: president (1985-1988) Habitat for Humanity in Amarillo; board member (1974-1979) United Way of Amarillo; president (1976-1977) Amarillo Executive Association; life member of the Texas Association of Business and Chamber of Commerce; past president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Amarillo Rotary Club; a 50-year member of the American Institute of Mining and Petroleum Engineers; life member of The Texas Pageant; director of Don Harrington Discovery Center in Amarillo; and board member of the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Neil Barclay. Survivors include his wife, Janet Barclay; a daughter, Susan Myatt of Denton; a son, Don Barclay of Dallas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, June 29, 2001 Paige Elyse Maurer PFLUGERVILLE - Paige Elyse Maurer, 12, died Friday, June 15, 2001, in Grand Junction, Colo. Services were Tuesday, June 19, 2001. Burial was in Georgetown. Arrangements were by Cook / Walden Funeral Home. Paige died as a result of a traffic accident while on a family vacation. She was born Nov. 11, 1988, in San Diego, Calif. She lived most of her life in Amarillo, where she attended both Windsor and Olsen Park elementary schools. She and her family relocated to the Austin area where she attended Park Crest Middle School. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Miss Blackwell was born at Mount Pleasant and had lived in Amarillo since 1944. She was a bookkeeper for Panhandle Laundry for 43 years. She was a member of Amarillo Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school and was involved in the Children's Ministries of the Church. Survivors include three sisters, Doris Bailey of Austin, Lillie Blackwell and Martha Sorrell, all of Amarillo; and five nieces and a nephew. Arrangements were by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Carrel was born in Petersburg. She had lived in Amarillo since 1999. She worked for Crook Wallace Co., in Vincennes until her retirement. She then resided at Piankishaw Place for 13 years prior to moving to Amarillo. Mrs. Carrel was a member of North United Methodist Church in Vincennes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Burch Carrel, in 1965. Survivors include two sons, Herb L. Carrel of San Antonio and Robert B. Carrel of Vincennes; a daughter, Mary Ella Moore of Amarillo; a brother, Edwin Ashby of Fort Wayne, Ind.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three nieces. Priscilla was from Raton, N.M. He served in the Navy during World War II, achieving the rank of seaman first class aboard the USS Curtiss. He married Edna Mae McCullough on Feb. 7, 1971, in Amarillo. She preceded him in death. Mr. Bell had been a resident of Amarillo since 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Connie Guffy and husband, Ted, of Canyon; a son, Larry Bell of Amarillo; and grandchildren, Clint Hukill and wife, Cheryl, of Canyon and Lindi Bell and Larry Paul Bell, both of Amarillo. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Glen Stocker officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Bradshaw was born in Oklahoma City. She graduated from high school in Sacramento, Calif., and attended Sacramento State University. Mrs. Bradshaw moved to Amarillo in 1972 from California. She started her driving career with Dwight Cheek Trucking in 1972. She married Jeff Bradshaw at Amarillo in 1979. After her marriage, she drove as a team with her husband for Collums Trucking until her retirement in 1998. Survivors include her husband, Jeff Bradshaw; three sons, Robbie Ford of Sacramento, Bill Ford of Amarillo and Steven Ford of Portland, Ore.; a stepson, Jason Bradshaw of Kent, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Bradshaw of Granite Falls, N.C.; a brother, Bobby Laplant of Placerville, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
