She moved to Amarillo in 1938 and was a saleslady at C.R. Anthony's in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ray Emanuel, in 1995; and a daughter, Donna Lynn Emanuel, in 1943. He married Martha (Marty) Allen on Aug. 23, 1949, in Memphis. He had a bachelor of science degree in agriculture journalism from Kansas State University. He came to Amarillo in 1982 from Collingsworth County and was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. He was the first full-time editor of Quarter Horse Journal, public relations director for Kansas Power and Light, executive vice president of Kansas Savings and Loan Association. He was a rancher and retired from ranching and purchased Cowan Pipe and Tobacco in Amarillo. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. Survivors include his wife, Marty; two daughters, Carol Phillips and husband, Patrick, of Amarillo and Donna McNabb and husband, Jim, of Austin; a sister, Jane Dronberger of Hutchinson, Kan.; five grandsons, Shay Wallace of Dallas, Kyle Brown, Brent Brown and Jay McNabb, all of Austin, and Todd Phillips of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Liz Phillips of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Cal Farley, in January 2001. He graduated from Tascosa High School and attended Hardin-Simmons University. After studying at Hardin-Simmons, he enlisted in the Navy and served in Vietnam. After his military service, he attended and graduated from the University of Houston where he received his degree in business. While at the University of Houston, he was a member of Pershing Rifles and served as president of the Economics and Finance Committee. He was the former president and owner of Prince Petroleum at Tulsa and was most recently affiliated with Allied Van Lines. Survivors include two sons, Stephen Oliver Sutton and Stephen Dean Sutton, both of Tulsa; his parents, Frances and C.O. Sutton of Amarillo; two sisters, Jan Sutton Heineman and husband, Robert, of Colleyville and Donna Sutton of Irving; and two nephews, Taylor Heineman and Parker Heineman, both of Colleyville. Georgia St. Mrs. Bone was born the oldest of 11 children to Samuel and Mabelle McWilliams. She was born in White Rock and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1926. She was a longtime member of the San Jacinto United Methodist Church, a life member of Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She was married to Ira Bone for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, G.R. (Dick) Bufkin; and a son, Sam Bufkin.
