Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Friday in Hass Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McGhee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mr. Romero was born June 27, 1936, in Roy, N.M., to Moses and Isabel Romero. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Rebecca Darlene Romero in 1971. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Romero; two sons, Roy Romero and Rocky Romero, both of Dalhart; two daughters, Esther Romero and Marybelle Lopez, both of Dalhart; five brothers, Moses Romero and Christy Romero, both of Dalhart, Rudy Romero of Las Vegas, N.M., Tony Romero of Guymon, Okla., and J.D. Leal of Dallas; three sisters, Lorene Montoya of Dalhart, Viola Abeyta of Stratford and Carolyn Wheeler of Bakersfield, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo, and Tim Walker, senior adult minister of the Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Swinney was a Church of Christ minister for 40 years, ministering at Big Spring, Knott, O'Donnell, Anson, Nugent, Stamford, Lefors, and McLean. He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Kim Ham of Pampa; four sons, Dan Swinney, Keith Swinney, and Steve Swinney, all of North Pole, Alaska, and Phillip Swinney of Amarillo; his father, Jeff Swinney of Stephenville; three stepsons, Steve Snelgrooes, Monty Williams and Mark Williams, all of Pampa; four brothers, Joe Swinney of Medina, Don Swinney of Big Spring, Ray Swinney of Ruidoso, N.M., and Eddie Swinney of Texas; a sister, Elaine Mount of Lorenzo; five grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 29, 2001 Marietta Goodman Coleman WELLINGTON - Marietta Goodman Coleman, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001. A wake was held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Ark. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Friday in Lonoke Cemetery in Lonoke, Ark., by Boyd Funeral Home. Mrs. Coleman was born Nov. 3, 1916, in McGehee, Ark., to John and Alma Goodwin. She attended Hendrix College and Arkansas State University where she received her degree in education. She was an elementary school teacher for 25 years in Lonoke, Ark. She was always a strong supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks and known for her big smile for everyone. She lived in Wellington for the past several years under the care of her daughter, Barbara Allen Bartlett. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Lynn Bartlett, Lynn Bartlett, Neil Bennett, Dick Bransford, John Bollinger, Billi Fletcher, Ross Holt and Walls McCrary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack F. Coleman. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Bartlett of Wellington and Betty Bollinger of West Memphis, Ark.; a son, Jack G. Mrs. Hollingsworth was born Nov. 2, 1906, to Charles G. Kitchens and Mary Whittaker Kitchens near "Old Kitty" Indian Territory, Okla. She was born one year before Oklahoma became a state of the union. She married Byron Henry Hollingsworth in 1955 at Wellington. She worked as a housewife and also for a dry cleaning company in Oklahoma City while living there. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband and eight brothers. Survivors include a niece, Lovera Kitchens McGill of Cactus; and four nephews, Bud Kitchens and wife, Shirley, and Stanley Kitchens and wife, Marie, all of Oklahoma City, Nathan Kitchens of Deer Park and Howard Kitchens of Pryor, Okla. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 29, 2001 Howard Chilcote Anderson Howard Chilcote Anderson, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5401 S. Bell St., with Bishop Joseph D. Lockwood officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Anderson was born May 9, 1920, at home in Allen County, Kan. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1942. He worked as a chemist for Conoco Petroleum for more than 39 years, retiring in 1982. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Peggy Louise Teichmer on April 25, 1943, in the First Presbyterian Church at Ponca City, Okla. He lived 41 years in Billings, Mont., where he was active in Lions Club, serving as district governor, and where he was active in church, serving as a Stake President and as a Bishop. He and his wife moved to Amarillo in 1997. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1999; by a son, David Anderson, killed in Vietnam in 1968; and by a granddaughter in 1986. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Middleton of Midland and Elizabeth Blaser of Rexburg, Idaho; two sons, Howard C. Anderson Jr. of Salt Lake City and James W. Anderson of Amarillo; two sisters, Glenice Fablinger of Merritt Island, Fla., and Florence Wolfgang of Casper, Wyo.; two brothers, Richard S. Anderson and Thomas J. Anderson, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Musgrave was born Sept. 28, 1935, in Skellytown. He was a graduate of Pampa High School and attended El Centro College in Dallas. He married Karen Green on Feb. 21, 1962, in Pampa. He was a retired computer operator and was a veteran of the Army. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Eddie Musgrave and wife, Marsha, of Flower Mound, Johnny Musgrave and wife, Dana, of Sanger and Rickie Musgrave and wife, Terry, of Grand Prairie; his mother, Mary Musgrave of Pampa; three brothers, Paul Musgrave and wife, Bernice, Earl Musgrave and wife, Melba, and Howard Musgrave and wife, Corene, all of Pampa; a sister, Jean Sperry of Pampa; eight grandchildren, Shawn Musgrave and Clarissa Musgrave, both of Sanger, Rickie Musgrave Jr., Catherine Musgrave, Cheyenne Musgrave, Tammy Rangel and husband, Jose, and Tina Darby, all of Grand Prairie, and Tiki Anderson and husband, Oscar Linars, of Chicago; and 12 great-grandchildren.
