Riley BOOKER - Elmer K. Riley, 82, died Sunday, May 27, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Dr. H.A. Hanks, pastor of First Baptist Church in Andrews, officiating. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery. Mr. Riley was born Nov. 13, 1918, in Arkadelphia, Ark. He married Frances Harrison on Nov. 23, 1940, in Needmore. Survivors include a son, Lewis Riley of Andrews; four daughters, Sherry Kelly of Phoenix, Kay Castlebury of Lakeland, Fla., Rhonda McMillion of Columbia, S.C., and Rita Fronk of Booker; three brothers, Virgil Riley of Amherst, Don Riley of Post and Billy Riley of Alanreed; two sisters, Pauline Ham of Post and Joy Spears of McLean; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association. Burial will be in Gruver Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Cotter was a member of the Church of Christ in Gruver. He was a member of the Gruver Fire Department. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Flournoy of Tulsa, Okla., and Karen Cotter of Gruver; two sons, Jimmy Cotter of Amarillo and Kenneth Cotter of Lewisville; three sisters, Margaret Smith of Thornton, Wash., Peggy Dillow of Gruver and Mary Cotter of Gruver; two brothers, Charles Cotter of Dimmitt and Donald Cotter of Gruver; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road, officiated by Buddhist monks. Cremation by Memorial Park Crematory. Angolo was born in San Diego, Calif. He moved to Amarillo five years ago. He was a junior at Palo Duro High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team. Survivors include his parents, Lotchana and Souksabay, of the home; and three sisters, Lesley, Sarah and Kathy, all of the home. Amarillo Daily News, May 30, 2001 Erlinda Josephine Mata Erlinda Josephine Mata, 46, of Amarillo, died Monday, May 28, 2001. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday in the church by the Rev. Dariusz Pavlowski, of the church, and the Rev. John Hickey, pastor of St. Martin Catholic Church. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Ms. Mata was a lifetime resident of Amarillo. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1973 and from West Texas State University in 1977. Ms. Mata was a dedicated school teacher, having taught at Our Lady of Guadalupe for seven years and at Glenwood Elementary School for 17 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Isidro Mata Sr., on May 1, 2001; and by a sister, Marianne Mata. Survivors include her mother, Dolores Mata of Amarillo; four brothers, Isidro Mata Jr. of Amarillo, Ruben Mata of Arlington, Daniel Mata of Collinsville and Edward Mata of Austin; four sisters, Lillian Laumbach of Roy, N.M., Gloria Rodriquez and Veronica Gomez, both of Amarillo and Annette Gutierrez of Logan, N.M.; 24 nieces and nephews; two grand-nieces; and numerous aunts and uncles. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church by Monsignor Rex Nicholl officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Lopez was born and raised in Amarillo. He worked as a laborer in construction for many years. Mr. Lopez married Cruz Francis Delagarza in 1981 at Amarillo. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hernandez in 1994; a brother, Rudy Lopez in 1987; and by a sister, Julia Espinosa in 1998. Survivors include his wife; eight daughters, Barbara Salazar Amador, Natalie Perez, Rebecca Cerda, Joyce Ornelas, Reyna Cruz and Paula Mason, all of Amarillo, Fredrica Lopez of Alamogordo, N.M., and Terry Graves of El Cajon, Calif.; a son, Robert Cruz of Amarillo; two brothers, Jesus Lopez and Domingo Lopez, both of Amarillo; three sisters, Antonia Rosas and Santos Quintero, both of Amarillo and Lucy Thompson of Glendale, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Whittington was born on July 21, 1925, in Quinton, Okla. He served in the Navy during World War II, from 1944 to 1946. He married Agnes Kent on Oct 27, 1953, in Chicago. Mr. Whittington was retired from Pantex. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Whittington of Phoenix, John Whittington of Amarillo and Alan Kent of Canyon; a brother, Robert Whittington of Goodnight; and two sisters, Wilma Serdahl of Amarillo and Lee Appel of Lyons, Kan.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Snouffer was in the Navy, where he served in the Mediterranean aboard the USS Philadelphia during World War II. He married Viola Stevens Litt on Nov. 15, 1969, in Mansfield, Ohio. Survivors include two sons, Curtis Snouffer of Fort Mills, S.C., and Lee Snouffer of Adelanto, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Additional services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Rock Assembly of God at Fort Towson with the Rev. Robert Hanes and the Rev. Jack Peck officiating. Burial will be in Fort Towson Cemetery by Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mrs. Petty moved to Guymon from Fort Towson in 1971. She was an active member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Bill L. Petty of the home; nine children, Harvey Tramel and Harrison Tramel, both of Fort Towson, James Tramel, Mary DeSpain and Joe Tramel, all of Guymon, Calvin Tramel of Norman, Ark., Lili Whyte of Colorado Springs, Colo., Dan Tramel of Marshall, Ark., and Wanda Dockstader of Bothell, Wash.; and 26 grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Memorials will be accepted at the funeral home.
