Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery of Dalhart by Hass Funeral Home. Mrs. Ball was born June 14, 1910, in Chico. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Rock Island Lodge. Survivors include a son, Herbert Damon Ball of Dalhart; and several grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 31, 2001 Fred Brannon SILVERTON - Fred Brannon, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Silverton Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Mullin officiating. Masonic graveside services will take place. Arrangements are by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Silverton. Mr. Brannon graduated from Silverton High School. He was a longtime member of the Silverton Riding Club, First Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include three daughters, Gwynn Carman of Lubbock, Sandra Steele of Thomas, Okla., and Sue Breedlove of Silverton; a son, W.G. "Butch" Brannon of Abilene; a brother, Seymour Brannon of Silverton; a sister, Opal McClure of Silverton; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Silverton Cemetery Association. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 31, 2001 Eunice Linnie Leeper HEDLEY - Eunice Linnie Leeper, 91, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Clarendon Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Bill Hodges, pastor, and the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor of Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon, officiating. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery at Hedley by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mrs. Leeper was born June 9, 1910, in Comanche County. She married Gurvaise Lyon Leeper in 1929 at Hollis, Okla. She was a Hedley resident from 1935 until moving to Clarendon in 1966. She was a homemaker and a member of Clarendon Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 11, 1970; a daughter, Yvonne Leeper in 1940; and a son, Lloyd Leeper in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Lavern Gibson of Long Island, N.Y.; four sons, Verrell Leeper of Lyons, Kan., Wilburn "Red" Leeper of Quitaque, Jack Leeper of Clarendon and Benny Leeper of Belton; two sisters, Bonnie Saunders of Amarillo and Lizzie Jones of Childress; two brothers, Amie Thomas of Dumas and Barney Thomas of Pontiac, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 31, 2001 C.W. James C.W. James, 74, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel in Canyon with the Rev. Stephen W. Gaines officiating. Mr. James was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Castro County. He married Josephine Jesko on Nov. 20, 1949. He was preceded in death by a son; his father and mother; two sisters; and a grandson. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Llano Cemetery of Amarillo with Dick Marcear officiating. Mr. Brown was born to Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Brown. He married Alicia Brown on April 8, 1978, in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include his father and stepmother; a stepsister, Cheryl Stripland; two nephews, Thomas Tedder and Jay Whitten; a niece, Dee Whitten; two great-nephews, Jerrod Whitten and Mason Whitten; a great-niece, Danielle Whitten; an aunt and uncle, Jonnie and Ray Halsey; two aunts, Francis Williams and Thelma Pollock; father and mother-in-law, Dale and Joan Williams; a sister-in-law, Karen Williams and husband, Dennis Rubenstein. Mrs. Simpson was born in Lone Wolf, Okla. She resided in Amarillo from 1951 to 1994 before moving to Lonoke. Ellsworth, 77, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cimarron Mortuary Chapel of Boise City with Harold James officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery. Mr. Ellsworth, son of the late Rolla C. and Delia Mae (Means) Ellsworth, was born March 16, 1924, eight miles west of Boise City in Cimarron County. He lived most of his life west of Boise City where he farmed and ran cattle. Survivors include his wife, Wauldine; two stepchildren, Tommie Crowell and Billy McCauley; a sister, Fern Wilson of Boise City; and a stepgrandchild, Bryan McCauley.
