Mr. Cole was born in Borger and was a lifetime resident. He was a lab technician at E.C.I. and a member of the Church of God. Survivors include two daughters, Kim Bayless of Amarillo and Kristi Tyree of Watauga; his parents, Ed and Dortha Cole of Borger; a brother, Ricky Cole of Detroit; two sisters, Judy Baker of Houston and Becky Bell of Oklahoma City; and four grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Jan. 31, 2001 Lila Meador MATADOR - Lila Meador, 92, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, in Camp Wood. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Royce Jennings, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in East Mound Cemetery at Matador by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Meador was born in Colt, Ark. She moved to Matador in 1928 and married Ben Douglas Meador in 1929 at Paducah. They owned the Matador Tribune from 1933 to 1977. He died in 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was an organist and pianist and taught Sunday school. She was a former member of the El Progresso Study Club and the Matador Garden Club. Survivors include two sisters, Opal Fulkerson of Lubbock and Mary Crider of Odessa. Amarillo Daily News, Jan. 31, 2001 George Lee Hall DUMAS - George Lee Hall, 75, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Clark, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Hall was born in Altus, Okla., and had lived in Dumas since 1946. He served in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. In 1985, he retired from Diamond Shamrock. He was a member, assistant head usher and bus worker at Bible Baptist Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Mr. Hall was married to Lois Carothers in 1943 at Mangum, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Hall of Altus and Gerry Hall of Austin; two sisters, Boss Perry of Friendship, Okla., and Nancy McKee of Blair, Okla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. The family will be at 1507 Bailey. Mr. Farley was born in Memphis. He attended Valley Schools. He was a cowboy and worked in well service. He was married to Ginny Lynn in 1993 at Amarillo. Ricardo Salditos, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Sabala was born in Coleman and had lived in Morton since 1941. He worked for Cochran County 43 years, as a law enforcement officer, animal control officer and a custodian for the courthouse. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Mr. Sabala was married to Pilar Gomez in 1958 at Morton. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Benina Bautista, in 1982. Hilgendorf officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Tiemeier was born in Burlington, Iowa. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1941 and attended Burlington Junior College. He was a sergeant in the Army Air Corps for three years during World War II. He worked for Iowa Army Ammunition Plant before being transferred to Pantex in Amarillo. He retired in 1986. He was a member of the Sts. John and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 568 and St. Vincent de Paul Society. He married Idabel Goepel in 1946 at Fairfield. He was preceded in death by a son, David Alan Tiemeier; and by a daughter, Jean Louise Bice. Survivors include his wife; a son, Daniel Tiemeier of Centerville; two brothers, James C. Tiemeier and Richard H. Tiemeier, both of Burlington; a sister, Vera C. Tiemeier of Burlington; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Hampton was born at Van Buren, Ark. He had lived in Amarillo since 1991. He served in the Army in Europe during World War II. He was a prisoner of war in Germany and received the Purple Heart. He worked as a natural gas line operator for a pipeline company and was a member of the United Pentecostal church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Bell Hampton, in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Terry Hampton of Dumas and Sherman Hampton of Austin; a daughter, Kay Ely of Gillette, Wyo.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Dixon was born in Mobile, Ala., and moved with his family to Amarillo in 1958. He worked in the construction business. Mrs. Poindexter was born in Childress and was a longtime resident of Amarillo. She was a nurse and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the classified ad manager for the Clovis News Journal for 25 years. She was part owner of a hot air balloon, The Toy, and had served on chase crews in Clovis and Albuquerque. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Milam was born in Letcher County, Ky. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. After the war, he became a mechanic and worked in a civilian capacity for the Air Force. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Milam. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Joe Vigil and Carlos Lopez. Survivors include her stepchildren, Blass Lopez of Tucumcari, Anita Lopez and Esmerlinda Lucero, both of California, and Mrs. Roy Baca of Farmington.
