Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Brazeal was born June 25, 1945, in Stigler, Okla. He was a Dumas and Moore County resident most of his life. He was an equipment operator at the street department for the city of Dumas since Sept. 6, 1989. He was raised in Sunray and was a graduate of Sunray High School. Survivors include a son, Jeremy Brazeal of Dumas; his former wife, Lois Smith of Dumas; a stepdaughter, Karla Smith of Dumas; a stepson, Carlos Smith of Oregon City, Ore.; a granddaughter, Heather Duby of Dumas; and a brother, Randy Brazeal of Richmond. She attended Texas Woman's University in Denton and was employed by Braniff Airlines as a hostess for two years. She married Tom Henry Frye in 1943 at Dallas and they moved to Wheeler County in 1983. She spent the remainder of her life on a farm north of Mobeetie. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, farmer, rancher and homemaker. She attended school in Palestine and Slocum, graduating in 1941. She was captain of the state champion girls basketball team in her last two years of high school. In Lubbock, on April 16, 1942, she became the lifelong partner, companion and happy homemaker of and for her husband Curtis Neal. They moved to Amarillo in 1952. She was a longtime resident and homemaker, with a fully satisfying career in activities in various civic, sorority and church organizations. She became an active participant as a Cub Scout den mother, and in Brownies and Girl Scouts, Order of Rainbow and, with her husband, all related Shrine activities. She was also involved in Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She was a member of Amarillo Symphony, Amarillo Club, Amarillo Knife and Fork, Amarillo Garden Center, Amarillo Little Theatre, and was past president of Amarillo Rose Society. She is a member of First Christian Church and Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two sons, Roy Eugene Neal, who died shortly after his birth in 1948; and William Richard "Dick" Neal, who left Amarillo College to join the Marines at age 19 and died in the Vietnam Tet Offensive on March 31, 1968. He was chosen as "Boss of the Year" for Insurance Women of Amarillo. He was an avid golfer and with his twinkling blue eyes and sense of humor, he brought joy and laughter to all he met. Survivors include her longtime companion, Louis Baca of Clovis; a son, Ed B. Tatum of Clovis; a daughter, Sally Scott-Mullins of Albuquerque; a sister, Lucille Moore of Muskogee, Okla.; and two grandsons. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 3, 2002 Canyon Lucille Crawford Lucille Crawford, 84, of Canyon, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in University Church of Christ with David Lough, minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mrs. Crawford was born Sept. 4, 1917, in Turner, Mont., to Jack and Allie Duncan Glover. She moved to Texas when she was 5 years old and graduated from Littlefield High School in 1935. She married Harry Crawford on Nov. 16, 1944, in Amarillo. They lived in Artesia, N.M., for 40 years before moving to Canyon in 1998. She was a member of University Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Tricia White of Pittsfield, Mass.; four brothers, Cephas Glover of Littlefield, Bennie Glover of Clovis, N.M., Boyd Glover of Canyon and Raymond Glover of Salem, Ore.; a sister, Pat Smith of Canyon; and two grandchildren, Jennifer White and Kimberly White, both of Pittsfield. The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, P.O. Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114-9990 or a favorite charity. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 3, 2002 Raymond Worrell Raillard Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Canyon. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Raillard was born in Dalhart to Orrin Worrell Raillard and Lois Louise Miller. He served as the general manager of "Texas," the musical drama, from 1966 until his retirement in 1992. Prior to this appointment, he was in the lumber business and taught music in public schools. He was a graduate of West Texas State Teachers College and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon and the Rotary Club of Canyon, where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a recipient of the Mark Sumner Award from the Institute of Outdoor Drama. He received an award of appreciation from Gov. Mark White in 1986 for his contributions to the tourism industry. He was named Canyon Citizen of the Year in 1988. He received the Tourism Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Tourist Industry Association in 1995. He played the tenor saxophone in the "Fabulous Five" jazz ensemble during the last two decades of his life, and played in numerous dance and jazz bands in his college years and in his 20s. He was preceded in death by his son, Miles Timothy Raillard. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Lee Fortenberry Raillard; and two sons, Raymond Mark Raillard and wife, Joan, of Dallas, and Michael Lee Raillard of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to the scholarship fund for the School of Fine Arts at West Texas A&M University.
