Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Muleshoe Church of Christ with Joey Pierce, minister of Eastside Church of Christ in Morton, officiating. Burial will be in Enochs Cemetery at Enochs. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Blackstone was born April 21, 1925, in Prairie Dell. She married Harvey Blackstone on Aug. 31, 1945, in Hot Springs, N.M. She had lived in Enochs since 1990, moving from Morton. She was a 1943 graduate of Morton High School. She was an active member of Churches of Christ in Morton, Muleshoe, Lazbuddie and Friona, having taught vacation Bible school, ladies Bible class and Sunday school classes. She was a volunteer and 4-H leader for more than 25 years. She was named a Friend of 4-H in Parmer, Bailey and Cochran Counties. She was an active member of Home Demonstration Club. She held honorary membership in FHA. She worked as a census taker, driver for senior citizens, substitute teacher and office manager for the Enochs office of Levelland Coop Elevator. She was preceded in death by her parents, T.G. Brown and Gladys Brown; and a sister, Irene Pederson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Spearman Methodist Church with Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Fairmount Cemetery at Hollis, Okla. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was born June 26, 1899, in Old Fields, W.Va., to Charles and Ema Sions. She came to Oklahoma with her parents when she was 4 years old, settling in Dewey County. She married James Ray in 1917. He died in 1921, leaving her with two babies. She owned and operated hotels and cafes in Canton, Okla., and Oakwood, Okla. She married Glen Davis in 1930. They moved to Hollis, Okla., in 1950. Her husband died in 1959, but she continued to live in Hollis. In her later years she lived with her daughters, making her home in Spearman with her daughter, Pauline, the last years of her life. She was a member of Hollis United Methodist Church and attended church regularly in Spearman as long as she was able. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star having held all points of the star and had been past worthy matron. She enjoyed arts and crafts and enjoyed craft shows. She will be remembered by many in Spearman for the colorful cup towels that she embroidered. Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Thompson of Houston and Pauline McGee of Spearman; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. Mr. Pierce was born Nov. 10, 1908, in the Easter community. He married Wilma Nell Sikes on Dec. 27, 1933, in Hereford. He was a deacon at Central Church of Christ for more than 50 years. He was an automotive mechanic. He was preceded in death by a son, Nelson R. Pierce, in November 2001; and a grandson, Christopher G. Pierce. He served in the Army. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1991. Her parents, Benjamin Hicks Stone and Stella Agnes McCartney, moved to Amarillo from Fayetteville, Ark., to become pioneers in the new community. She was an alumna of the University of Texas where she pledged Kappa Alpha Theta, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo and a member of DAR and Audubon Society. She moved to Carmel in 1999 to be closer to her daughter but always considered Texas her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence H. Griffith; both brothers, Robert Stone and Benjamin H. Stone Jr.; and both sisters, Ruth Hancock and Margaret Ann Dickson. Mr. Fisk was a retired farmer, rancher and custom harvester. He lived in the Texhoma area most of his life.
