Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Pampa. Mrs. Farmer was born April 23, 1924, in Eastland to Cecil Lauglitz and Zella Mae Miller. She was a secondary education teacher and taught at Doughty and Floydada. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, David Farmer of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Glenda Jenkins; a brother, Glenn Campbell of Canyon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Teal was born in Denton and had lived in Amarillo for the past 65 years. She had worked as an elementary schoolteacher in Borger and Claude. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1936 and was very active in church activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rufus "Bill" Teal on July 30, 1991. He was the miracle child of the Children's Miracle Network of Amarillo in 1990. In 2001, he married Joyce Macias in San Antonio. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Claude High School and Texas Tech University where he played varsity basketball. During the Korean War, he served in the Army training corpsmen and playing basketball for the Army team while stationed in Japan. He returned to Amarillo in 1951 where he started, owned and operated Hallmark Builders from 1953 to 1999. In 1957, he married Helene Harris in Denver. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was active with the Royal Ambassadors. He was a member of Rotary International in Amarillo for many years. Survivors include his wife; a son, Lynn McClure of Amarillo; three daughters, Kelly Paulk, Leah Henderson and Kerri McClure, all of Amarillo; two brothers, the Rev. Georgia St. Mrs. Bell was born Dec. 20, 1938, in Clovis, N.M. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1956 and married George Bell in Clovis on July 29, 1956. She worked for Mesa Petroleum in payroll for 23 years. She was a member of the Paramount Terrace Christian Church and the Journeyman's class of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She was also an avid artist and loved to paint. She graduated from Plainview High School and attended S.M.U. and the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colo. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 7, 2002 Kenny Gearn HEREFORD - Kenny Gearn, 80, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in First Presbyterian Church of Hereford with the Rev. John Bethard officiating. Private family burial will take place. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Gearn was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Harrison, Ark., the son of Walter and Bessie Gearn. He married Idie Robinson on Jan. 2, 1942, in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death in 2001 after 59 years of marriage. He then married Betty Littlejohn on Nov. 5, 2001, in Laughlin, Nev. He was in the Navy during World War II, serving aboard the destroyer USS Ross in the Pacific. After being discharged from the Navy, he moved to Hereford in 1949 where he opened Kenny Gearn Machine Works, which he owned and operated for 31 years. He was currently working with Gearn Industries in Hereford. He was a 32nd degree mason and member of the Hereford Masonic Lodge No. 849, the Khiva Temple of Amarillo, the Hereford Oasis Shrine Club and the Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Hereford Lions Club, a charter member of the "Ding-A-Ling" social club, a member of the Hereford American Legion and a member, past deacon and past elder of First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters; and a brother. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Geary Gearn and Tim Gearn, both of Hereford, Ken Gearn Jr. of Canyon and Gordon Gearn of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Beth Gearn and Keith Ann Gearn, both of Hereford, and Brenda Gearn of Canyon; a brother, George Gearn of San Clemente, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
