Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Alfred Vargas of Christian Life Center Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Escamilla was born in Repueblo de Oriente, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He married Tereza Garza in 1934. They moved to Amarillo in 1972. He was a farmer and a member of Christian Life Center. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2000; and two daughters, Judy Mendez in 1976 and Teri Malacara in 1997. Survivors include five sons, Tony Escamilla, Doroteo Escamilla, Thomas Escamilla Jr. and Paul Escamilla, all of Amarillo, and Santos Escamilla of Othello, Wash.; a daughter, Ruth Malacara of Amarillo; 27 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He married Edra Young on Dec. 31, 1938, in Hollis, Okla. He then moved to Amarillo in 1940 from Hollis. He grew up in Oklahoma. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church, Virgil Ballengee Men's Bible Class and was an active volunteer for many years with the Texas Special Olympics. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Local Railroad Engineers and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Cole and Iola Brawley; and a brother, Raymond Young. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sharon Donnell of Lubbock; a son, Jerry Young of Dallas; two brothers, Otis Young of Riverside, Calif., and Eugene Young of Amarillo; two sisters, Ella Auldridge and Ozella Sutton, both of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Ragan Young of Dallas and Dan Donnell and Ann Swain, both of Lubbock; and a great-grandchild, Will Swain of Lubbock. She was a cashier at Sav-On Drugs which eventually became Martin Road Pharmacy. Interstate 40. Mrs. Cunningham was a longtime employee of Panhandle Power and Light, then Southwestern Public Service Co. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She came to Amarillo from Borger in 1943. In 1957 she married Rudolph Cunningham. After their retirement they moved to Mountain Home, Ark. She was regent of the Captain Nathan Watkins Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, president of the Twentieth Century Club and was active in the Memorial Christian Church where she served as treasurer. She returned to Amarillo in 1981 after her husband died. She was a member of the Llano Estacado Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Mayflower Society of Kansas and the Huguenot Society of Kansas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine Carroll Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Louise M. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Amarillo. He married Delberta Woodruff on Sept. 16, 1933, in Borger. They recently celebrated their 68th anniversary. He retired from Amarillo Public Schools as supervisor over plumbing maintenance. He was a life member of the local Pipefitters and Plumbers Union No. 196. Mrs. Nutting was born in Rolla, Mo., and had lived in Amarillo for more than 30 years. She had been a secretary at Phillips 66 Co. In Dumas, she had been a Boy Scout den mother and was active in the Women's Republican Party. She was also active in the Senior Citizen's Bridge Club in Amarillo. Mrs. Dilsaver was born and raised in Okmulgee, Okla. She married D.C. "Dill" Dilsaver in 1937 in Borger. He passed away in 1988. She was a resident of Amarillo for more than 60 years. She was a clerk at Fedway Department Store and was a professional doll maker for many years. She was a longtime member of Forest Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Smith on April 8, 1944, in Elk City, Okla. She was a former member of Sanborn Baptist Church and a homemaker. She had been active in bowling, needlecraft and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She also won a first prize for her canning at the Tri-State Fair. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 2, 1993. Survivors include two sons, John L. Smith and Paul N. Mr. Turner graduated from Amarillo High School and attended the University of Texas. He was retired from the city of Plano, utility operations division, after 12 years of service. Mr. Tucek was born on March 31, 1936, in Canyon and died on Jan. 25, 2002, in Lubbock. He graduated from West Texas College and received his master's degree in agriculture education from Texas Tech University. He worked for many years at the Amarillo Health Department, Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and at DeKalb of Lubbock. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; his mother, Irene; his father, Raymond; and a brother, Weldon. He married Diane Ball on Oct. 11, 1975, in Waco and they moved to Canadian in 1995 from Angleton. He was the chief appraiser for the Hemphill County Appraisal District. He served on the board of directors for the TAAO in 1999 and 2000. He was a certified instructor statewide for both the TAAD and TAAO in Texas. He was a member of the Lions Club and Abundant Life Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife; his parents; a brother and his children, Tommy Lanier of Gholson and Michael Lanier and Sheri Lanier, both of Waco; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee W. and Leah L. Mrs. Head was a member of First United Methodist Church of Spearman. She was a member of Hansford Hospital Auxiliary, United Methodist Women, Sheppard Sunday school class and Gladiola Flower Club. She loved to play bridge and 42. She was in charge of the Methodist Ground Hog Dinner for many years. She was an avid Texas Tech Red Raider fan. She taught Sunday school to 2 and 3-year-olds for more than 20 years. She married Garland M. Head on May 29, 1949, in Spearman. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 13, 1991; her mother, Aleta White; her father, Kiff White; her stepmother, Aliene White; two sisters; and a brother. (AP) - Everett Barnhardt, who rose from office boy to executive vice president of Coors, died Jan. 2. He was 88. Barnhardt also served two terms on the Golden City Council in the 1940s and was mayor in the 1950s. He founded the Everett Barnhardt Scholarship Fund at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood.
