Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Warford-Walker Mortuary, Chapel of Roses, 509 N. Hughes St., with the Rev. Robert Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Kilgore was born in Taylor where she attended public schools. She worked as a domestic worker and had lived in Amarillo for more than 60 years. Survivors include a son, James Eugene English of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Barbara Faye Thurman of Nashville, Ark.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Michael Carter of River Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Ussery was born in Wood County, Winnsboro, and had lived in Amarillo since 1961. He was a veteran of the Air Force and served one year in Vietnam. He had been on the ground crew that operated the SR71 Blackbird Spy Plane and became staff sergeant before retiring. He had been the maintenance supervisor of the Pilot Petroleum Co. He was a member of the Texas Truckers Association and the National Rifle Association. He was a volunteer at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in Canyon. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Renee Ussery, in 1987. Survivors include his father, C.M. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 28, 2002 June Russell Malone June Russell Malone, 74, of Amarillo died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Coulter Road Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Payne officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Malone was born and raised in Follett. She received both a bachelor's and a master's degree from West Texas State University. She married James W. Malone in 1946 in Follett. She taught school in Morse and Groom in 1948 and 1949. She taught in Stinnett from 1951 until 1959 and moved to Amarillo in 1959. She taught school in the Amarillo Independent School District for many years. She taught at Amarillo High School as well as Palo Duro High School before retiring in 1982. After her retirement from the Amarillo School District, she taught at Amarillo College as well as West Texas State University. She was an active member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. She was a member of the Laureate Epsilon XI chapter of Beta Sigma Phi as well as the Eta Phi chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma sororities. She was also a member of the Amarillo Retired Teacher's Association and the Panhandle Professional Writers Association. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kim Malone and wife, Jo, of Amarillo and Kevin Malone and wife, Frances, of Waco; a sister, Coeta Lewis of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three brothers, Dean Russell of Amarillo, Boyd Russell of Tulsa, Okla., and Errol Russell of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Brett Anne Williams, Heather Milligan and husband, Anthony, and Lisa Williams, all of Amarillo, Weston Malone of College Station, Audrey Malone and Austin Malone, both of Waco; and a great-granddaughter, Sabrina Ennis of Amarillo. Turner Gary J. Turner, 55, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Polk Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marty Hamrick, associate pastor, and the Rev. Toni Bailey, pastor of the United Methodist Church in White Deer, officiating. He graduated from White Deer High School in 1964. He was a graduate of West Texas State University where he was a member of the ATO social fraternity. He was also a graduate of Southern Methodist University, School of Banking. He came back to Amarillo and served as the assistant trust officer of First National Bank. He later moved to Borger where he was the trust officer of the Panhandle Bank & Trust. In 1984 he moved to the East Texas National Bank in Palestine where he was the trust officer. In 1987 he moved back to Amarillo and founded and owned Prospera Financial Services in 1993. He currently was president and boss lion of the Amarillo Downtown Lions Club. He served on the board of directors of the Lions Eye Bank. He was treasurer of the Lions High Plains Eye Bank and also served as treasurer of Lions District 2T1 from 2000 to 2001. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sheryn; seven sons, James Turner of Dallas, Joel Law and wife, Kim, of Canyon, Jon Law and wife, Tammy, of Galva, Kan., Brent Turner and wife, Amy, of Hurst, and Scott Turner, Jason Turner and Brian Turner, all of Amarillo; his mother, Mary Ellen Turner of White Deer; five grandsons; and a granddaughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church of Hereford with Dr. Tom Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery of Denver at a later date. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford. Mrs. Cunningham was born March 9, 1919, in Denver, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Kendall. She married William Cunningham on May 9, 1940, in Denver. She retired as the executive vice president of Western National Bank in Denver. She loved flowers, particularly her roses. During Hereford's Sesquicentennial celebration, she helped in planting the tulips in the Texas Star and started the bluebonnet seeds around the courthouse. She was a member of the Hereford Senior Citizens Line Dancers, the Hereford Study Club, the Nettie Slaton Circle and First United Methodist Church of Hereford. She was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Wright was born April 4, 1910, in Bowie. At age 6, his family moved to Oklahoma City where he graduated from Classen High School in 1929. He attended Northwest Missouri Teachers College in Maryville, Mo., where he received a bachelor of science degree in 1935. He was a veteran of the Air Corps during World War II and completed Officer's Candidate School in Miami Beach, Fla. He served with the Eighth Air Force in England and France. In 1960, he and his brother opened Wright's Fashions at 222 N. Cuyler which he operated until his retirement in 1984. He married Ruth Wooley on Dec. 11, 1963, in Pampa. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Men's Fellowship Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1984. Survivors include a niece, Gloria Hiratsuka of Billingham, Alaska; and a nephew, John Hightower of Newport, Ore. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church of Dumas with the Rev. Mike Venable, pastor of First Baptist Church in Hartley, officiating. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens of Dumas with the Order of the Eastern Star No. 651. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mrs. Green was born July 16, 1912, in Giles. She had lived in Hartley County since 1938. She married Hubert Green on Dec. 20, 1940, in Hartley. She retired as a physics teacher in 1972 after 35 years. She was a member of Disciples of Christ Church in Dumas. She was a lifetime member of Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Kappa Delta Gamma and a recipient of the Outstanding Physics Teacher of the State of Texas award. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Paul Green; a sister, Alleen Ledbetter; and a niece, Jo Ledbetter Brodnax. Survivors include a granddaughter, Kathleen LaRue of Hartley; a grandson, Glenn Green of Kennewick, Wash.; and a great-grandson, Levi LaRue of Hartley.
