Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Taylor, a Jesus Christ Christian, was born in Alberta, Va., to Peter David Sadler and Mollie Bell Corning Sadler. She spent her early years in Petersburg, Va. She married Robert Loyd Taylor in 1961 at Petersburg. Her work in Amarillo included Diamond Shamrock Oil Co., Tascosa Baptist Church, Austin Middle School and most recently St. Andrew's Episcopal School of Amarillo. She loved working with children. She taught preschool children in Sunday school class for 20 years, was involved in the bus ministry and taught a Sunday school class for Laotian children for two years. She was church secretary for Tascosa Baptist Church from 1970 to 1975. She continued her life work as a secretary and administrative assistant until December 2000. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Robin Melissa Dykes and husband, Don, of Amarillo; two sons, Mark David Taylor and wife, Amy, of Amarillo and Robert Scott Taylor and wife, Amy, of Richardson; five grandchildren, Derek, Donaven, Cole, Madison and Caitlyn; four sisters, Mary Hoover of Pittsburgh, Nancy James of Petersburg, Millie Blackburn of Richmond, Va., and Becky Douglas of Gloucester, Va.; a brother, Charles Sadler of Petersburg; and a half-sister, Virginia Richardson of Portsmouth, Va. Mrs. Brown was born May 29, 1921, to Fred and Rosa Herbold at Bridgeport, Okla. She worked for many years at Gouldy Feed and Seed and First Federal Savings and Loan in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; her parents; two brothers, Robert and L.H.; and a sister, Lenora. Survivors include a brother, Alfred Herbold; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The body will be available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Hall was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Abernathy. He graduated in 1949 from Canyon High School, where he was an All-Region football guard. He spent two years working at his parents' cafe in Canyon. In 1951 he joined the Navy, where he made torpedo's mate Class A. He served in the Korean War and was awarded the National Defense Service medal. He was stationed in Honolulu until 1955 when he was honorably discharged. He married Ruth Knight on Aug. 5, 1956, in Clayton, N.M. He worked for Budweiser for 45 years, starting as a routesman and worked his way up to general manager. For the past 45 years he was known as "The Budman." He was a member of Polk Street Rotary Club, Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Tascosa Country Club and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, his morning coffee group at the Donut Stop in Belmar, and particularly his 4 o'clock happy hour buddies. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Dr. Linda Mihm of Clifton, N.J., Pam Lamkin of Amarillo and Julia Koenig of North Richland Hills; two sons, Carl Brockman of Phoenix and Robert Brockman of Bakersville, Calif.; a sister, Jean Wright of Canyon; a brother, Mike Hall of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at noon today in Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home Northwest Highway Chapel with Dr. Woody Strodel officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Mr. Tucker was born Sept. 28, 1923, to Ira and Rossie Tucker in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School and entered the armed services where he served in France during World War II. After the service, he received a business degree from University of Colorado where he belonged to Sigma Nu Fraternity. He moved to Dallas and worked as an investment banker for R.A. Underwood & Son for several years. He left Underwood and joined Merrill Lynch where he became regional manager of the municipal bond department until he retired. He was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo. He was married to Ann Glaspy. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, David and another brother, Lawrence. Survivors include his four children, Robert H. Tucker, David L. Tucker, James G. Tucker and Sally A. Tucker; a sister, Elizabeth Paxton; two sisters-in-law, Sue Tucker and Betty Tucker; a daughter-in-law, Barri Tucker; five grandchildren, David Tucker, Pamela Tucker, Elizabeth Tucker, Justin Fain and Juli Fain; and several nieces and nephews. Services were at Palm Springs Mortuaries with the Rev. Coppersmith of Palm Springs officiating. Entombment was in Palm Springs Mausoleum in Cathedral City. Mr. Cantrell was born Oct. 26, 1913, in Memphis, Texas, son of Glenn and Ovilla Cantrell. He graduated from Shamrock, Texas, High School in 1933, and attended North Texas A&M in Arlington, Texas, before settling in Shamrock. He was a member of Wheeler County Sheriff's Posse and was parade marshal several years for the St. Patrick's Day Celebration. He lived 46 years in the Shamrock area as a farmer, rancher and businessman. He lived several years in Ruidoso, N.M., and settled in Palm Springs in 1970. He retired from full-time employment at age 80. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ann Cantrell; his parents; and three brothers, Travis Cantrell, Billy Cantrell and Bill Cantrell . Survivors include two daughters, Rose Ann Steiner of Arroyo Grande and Linda Cantrell of Seattle; a son, Lewis "Burly" Cantrell of Highland; three grandchildren, Scott Steiner, Eric Steiner and Adam Braham; two great-grandchildren, Jake Steiner and Justine Steiner; and a sister, Ruth Dugger of Elk City, Okla.
