Mrs. Lamm was born in Roswell, N.M., and had lived in Claude for more than three years. She worked as a security guard at IBP. She lived in the Phillips-Borger area for more than 60 years before moving to Amarillo in 1994. She was a resident of The Continental where she played the organ for chapel services. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; and a grandson, Mike Coss in 2000. Bell St. Mr. Parmer was born Feb. 21, 1914, in Nolanville, to Cicero Guess and Ida Mae Parmer. He married Violet Mae Copeland on Oct. 23, 1939, in Amarillo. He had retired in Amarillo as a division superintendent from Colorado Interstate Gas Co. He was a former member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo and a 32nd Degree Mason. Since retirement in Amarillo, he had most recently held residence in Sunrise Beach and Kingsland. He served in the Army in Europe during World War II and was honorably discharged in October 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 6, 1986. Survivors include a son, Larry and wife, Olynnda, of Boulder City, Nev.; a brother, Phill and wife, Lorna of Sunrise Beach; two grandchildren, April Peters of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Aaron Parmer of Auburn, Wash.; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Metcalf was born Jan. 11, 1915, to Stonewall and Maggie Wells Burrus in Randlette, Okla. She was a graduate of Canyon High School. She married Ray Metcalf in 1937 at Tulia. They lived in Panhandle two years before moving to a farm west of Canyon in 1940 and moved to Canyon in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Canyon where she taught Sunday school for 27 years. She worked with the hospital auxiliary at Palo Duro Hospital from 1981 to 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; and a daughter, Glenda May Metcalf in 1946. Survivors include two sons, Jack Metcalf of Amarillo and Glen Metcalf of Canyon; a daughter, Linda Blass of Fort Worth; a sister, Beatrice Hager of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He graduated from House High School and from New Mexico State University in 1970 with a degree in civil engineering. He served in the Army from 1970 to 1973. He had served as city manager of Tucumcari from April 1999 until his death. He had previously served as city manager in Tucumcari from 1974 to 1981. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tucumcari. He married Sharon Hohstadt in 1967 in Tucumcari. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Harlan Hohstadt; and a brother, Jimmy Hohstadt. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Tommy Hohstadt of Clovis; four sisters, Bobbi Johnson, Donna White, Sandy Fredericks and Carol Hohstadt; and numerous other nieces, nephews and relatives.
