Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Dodgen was born May 19, 1913, in Dimmitt. She retired from teaching at Shamrock Independent School District in 1980. Survivors include two sons, Don Dodgen of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Allen Dodgen Jr. of Dallas; a daughter, Candy Land of Brownfield; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Southern was born in Pauls Valley, Okla. He married Catherine Rodgers in Amarillo in 1956. He worked for Sante Fe Railway as a conductor for 41 years, retiring in 1976. He was an active member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and belonged to the McDavid Sunday School Class. He was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loetta Southern in 1952; and a son, Thomas Southern in 1974. She married William Cantrell Shellberg on Jan. 15, 1932. She moved to Amarillo in 1948 from Waco. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Judd was born Oct. 7, 1919, in Collingsworth County and was a member of one of the early pioneer families to settle there. She was a bookkeeper. She was employed a number of years as financial and pastor's secretary for Second Baptist Church, of which she was a member. She was a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann in 1949; and by two infant children. Survivors include a son, Herman Judd of Amarillo; a brother, Aubrey Willard of Santa Fe, N.M.; a sister, Marjorie Roy of Amarillo; three grandsons, James Judd of Alamogordo, N.M., Darryl Judd of Muskogee, Okla., and Max Judd of Dallas; three great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; one great-great-granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews. He attended Lakeview High School and Texas Tech University. He was in World War II as an aviation machinist mate and an aircraft maintenance instructor. He married Janet McQueen in Memphis on June 8, 1940, and they have been married 61 years. He worked for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and was employed by Ford Motor Co. for 35 years in the sales department. He managed family farms. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Susan Sneath and husband, Rick, of Dumas; a son, Michael Sweatt and wife, Lynn, of Overland Park, Kan.; a sister, Rachel Pittman of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Brian, Bradley, Ian, Amanda and Laura. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Zion was born in Amarillo and had been a resident for more than 60 years. He served with the Army's 32nd Infantry Division during World War II. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart. He worked as an electronics technician for Seismograph before he retired. He was a member of Olsen Park Church of Christ and was an avid gardener. He married Myrtle Grace Arnett on July 28, 1961, in Arlington. He was a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers and had lived in Amarillo for 79 years. He and his wife Ollie were married in 1935. They were married 66 years. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 18, 2002; two sisters; and two brothers. Mrs. Bell was born July 6, 1911, in McAllester, Okla. She moved to Pampa in 1928 where she met and married Lee Roy Bell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo. She worked as a PBX operator for Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital, Northwest Texas Hospital and Southwestern Bell Telephone before retiring in 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband in June 1979. Survivors include three sons, Roy Nelson Bell and wife, Barbara, of Katy, Donald Thomas Bell and wife, Allana, of Topeka, Kan., and Robert Rex Bell and wife, the Rev.
