No memorial services are scheduled. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Booker. Mr. Robison was a member of National Rifle Association. Survivors include his wife, Velma Dean; his mother, Dora Robison of Reydon, Okla.; a daughter, Margaret Robison of Weatherford, Okla.; two sons, Orville Don Robison of Follett and Clayton Robison of Ponchatoula, La.; a sister, Evelyn Porter of Reydon; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Amarillo Globe-News, March 16, 2002 Margaret H. Wofford SHAMROCK - Margaret H. Wofford, 89, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church of Shamrock with the Rev. Bob Miller, pastor of South Georgia Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Wofford was born June 29, 1912, in Van Buren, Ark., to Lawrence Troy and Carrie Margaret Bradley. She married Raymond F. Wofford on April 14, 1935. They moved to Shamrock soon after where they engaged in farming for several years, living in the Twitty and Bethel Communities. She resided in Claude and Tulia prior to moving to Amarillo in 2000. She had a real heart for children, especially the abused and underprivileged. She was active in the children's programs in the church and was a lifetime prayer warrior. At the time of her death, she was a member of Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock. She was a loving mother and grandmother, but her greatest love was for her savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966; and a son, Eddie Ray Wofford in 1967. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane Strategier and husband, Jim, of Norman, Okla., and Elizabeth Lee Pepper and husband, J. Dean, of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Jan Brown, Jon Hughes, Amy Bronson, Jeff Hughes, DeAn Smith, Kevin Pepper and Shelby Strategier; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Florence Miller of Yuma, Ariz. The family suggests memorials be to Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock; or South Georgia Baptist Church Building Fund in Amarillo. The family will be at 312 S. Austin St. in Shamrock. Mrs. Harshfield had lived in Amarillo for several years before moving to League City six years ago. Kerry Wood, minister of music of First Baptist Church of Childress, officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Moore was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Carey. She was a homemaker. Amarillo Globe-News, March 16, 2002 Walterine Hughes TULIA - Walterine Hughes, 79, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport of the church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Hughes was born Dec. 14, 1922, in De Queen, Ark. She married J.C. Hughes on Feb. 1, 1942, in Clovis, N.M. She was president of Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of VFW Ladies and the Pink Ladies. She was the director of Parks and Recreation for Ruidoso, N.M., where they named a park after her, Walterine Hughes Park. She was involved in every outdoors club or activity she could. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Ruidoso where she taught Sunday school. She played Hawaiian steel guitar for them as well. They lived in Ruidoso for about 30 years and ran the Stage Coach Motel there before moving to Tulia two years ago. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter McKinley Block; a sister, Christine Waltman; and a granddaughter, Ronda Wilfong. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Su Harland, Pegi Russell and Ka Wilfong, all of Tulia; two brothers, Altus Block of Mabelvale, Ark., and Dolphus Ray Block of Logan, N.M.; three sisters, Pauline Smith of Tulia, Juanita Broux of Orange and Naomi Kelm of Redmond, Ark.; her mother, Florine Block of Mabelvale; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Swisher County Veterans Memorial; or the cemetery association. She was a personal loan officer at a bank. She attended college at OCW in Chickasha, Okla. She had lived in Amarillo since 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pixley. Survivors include a daughter, Sondra Hawkins and husband, Cecil, of Amarillo; a brother, John Power Jr. and wife, Al, of Irving; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Scott was a lifetime resident of Clovis. He worked as an unloading crew supervisor for Super Wal-Mart in Clovis. Survivors include three sons, David Scott Jr. of Pascagoula, Miss., Robert Scott of Saint Marys, Ga., Charlie Scott of New London, Conn.; his parents, Earl and Wanda Scott of Clovis; a brother, Ronnie Scott of Clovis; a sister, Sharon Lucero of Clovis; and six grandchildren. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Cole graduated from Miami High School. She worked as a sheriff's deputy and county tax recorder for several years.
