Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Pampa. Mr. Hall was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Garber, Okla. He married Opal King on June 5, 1941, in Lefors. He worked in the oil field for 40 years and was an Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of the Lefors United Methodist Church and was an avid fisherman and model airplane builder. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Winningham; and a brother, Scott Phillip Hall Jr. Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Bryant was born June 9, 1903, in Pleasant Hope, Mo. She had lived in Sherman County since 1930. She was the second child of Molly and A.H. Ellison. She married Odis Bryant in Wichita, Kan., in 1926. They were very productive members of the community all their lives. She was a member of First Christian Church, Eastern Star and several other community organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband. Mrs. Axe was born in Armstrong County and had lived in Castro County for over 30 years. She lived in Vega for 30 years before moving to Hereford five years ago. She was a homemaker and member of Vega United Methodist Church. She married Henry Linsey Axe on Jan. 2, 1931, in Tucumcari, N.M. They were married for 65 years. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 11, 1996; a son, John Axe; her parents; five brothers; four sisters; and a great-grandson, Randall Artho. Survivors include two sons, Marvin Axe and wife, Janie, of Vega, and Dr. Jim Anderson Axe and wife, Suzanne, of Lubbock; a daughter, Zelda Marie Anderson and husband, Gayland, of Lubbock; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Salvador Mendoza; and a sister, Nieves Borunda. He moved to Amarillo in 1993 and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995; and a son, Bobby Fugate, in 2000. Georgia St. Mrs. Stowe had resided in Amarillo since 1977. She was born in Hugo, Okla., on Oct. 30, 1919, and later moved to the Rio Grande Valley, where her family had citrus farms. In 1937 she married Andrew Warren Stowe and moved with him to Waco, where he was enrolled in ministerial studies at Baylor University. She also attended Baylor University. She was an active worker with her husband in Baptist churches in Big Spring and Brownfield as well as Raton, N.M., Guymon, Okla., and Canon City, Colo. After her husband's retirement from full-time pastorate in 1977, she served for two decades as a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church in Amarillo, where she also helped establish the Laotian and Vietnamese ministry. In addition, she worked alongside her husband during his interim pastorate at Washburn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Stowe Galloway, in 1988. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Caroline Stowe Chamblin; five grandchildren, Andrew Chamblin of Los Alamos, N.M., Jonathan Chamblin of Albuquerque, N.M., Rhonda Galloway Boyce of Austin, Kimberly Galloway Holston and Mark Galloway, both of Amarillo; and four great-grandchildren, Jaron Loera, Bailey Boyce, Madison Jonas and Spencer Jonas. He was a member of First Christian Church, Palo Duro Masonic Lodge No. 1239 and was a charter member of the Tascosa Country Club where he was a an avid golfer. She had lived in Amarillo from 1960 to 1973. During this time she worked in sales at Blackburn's and helped raise two granddaughters. She moved to Sun City, Calif., in 1973, and returned to Amarillo in 1997. She was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. She will be remembered affectionately as "Mamo" by her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clayton H. (Henry) Green, in 1965; her second husband, Victor E. Stout, in 1997; and a granddaughter, Tancy Schneider, in 1985. Interstate 40. Mr. Kerr was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Englewood, N.J., to Gunhild and Arthur Kerr. He married Janet R. King on June 17, 1955. He was a member of the Air Force from 1951 to 1954 and began working for IBM in 1955 where his career spanned over 40 years. He retired in 1996. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan Spencer Joplin. The family will be at 7205 Dreyfuss in Amarillo. Amarillo Globe-News, April 8, 2002 Elsewhere Oris Walton Dunham Sr. BELLEVUE, Wash. - Oris "Orie" Walton Dunham Sr., 87, died Monday, April 1, 2002. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Greenwood Memorial Terrace of Spokane. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home of Spokane. Mr. Dunham was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Bronaugh, Mo., the son of Orville and Mabel Dunham. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he settled in Bonner's Ferry, Idaho, and Spokane, where he worked for the Spokane International Railroad for 35 years. Upon retirement he and his wife, Annabelle, moved to Mentone, Calif., until her death in 1991. Returning to Missouri with his two sisters for a high school reunion, he met and married Myrtle Lent who had been a classmate 55 years earlier. Following her death, he returned to Washington and had lived the last few years in Bellevue. He will always be remembered for his friendly good humor and easygoing ways as well as his enduring love of sports, particularly, the Seattle Mariners. He was preceded in death by his wives, Virginia Higgins of Nevada, Mo., Annabelle Southard of Bonner's Ferry, Idaho, and Myrtle Lent of Moundville, Mo. Survivors include two children, Oris Dunham Jr. and wife, Sylvia, of Bellevue and Deanna Dunham Garrard and husband, Pat, of Amarillo; two sisters, Olene McCrary and Leone Keith and husband, Paul; numerous nephews; and a niece. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Lamesa Memorial Park. Mrs. Fincher was born May 1, 1909, in McLean to P.J. and Nancy Weber Stanley. She married Lloyd Glenn Fincher in 1930 and he preceded her in death in 1982. She received a bachelors degree from Howard Payne University. She taught 32 years in Lamesa area schools, including Lamesa, Union and Klondike before retiring in 1967. She was active in Women's Missionary Union at the First Baptist Church in Lamesa and the Texas Teacher Retirement Association. She moved to Canyon in 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Canyon. The joy of her life was family. She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Glenna Faus and husband, Larry, of Sparta, Wis.; a son, Irwin Fincher and wife, Janet, of Canyon; two sisters, Gertrude Allison of Lubbock and Frances Downing of Norwalk, Ohio; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
