Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kathryn Boren officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Cassidy was born March 21, 1932, in Hall County. She graduated from Memphis High School in 1949 and attended Draughon's Business College. She married Joseph P. Cassidy in 1955 and was a resident of Panhandle for 42 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and involved in many community activities. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Collins in 1951; and her mother, Ruby Maddox Collins Goodnight in 2001. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Susan Daniel and husband, Pat, of Hereford; two sons, John Cassidy and wife, Karen, and Jay Cassidy and wife, Alison, all of Prosper; two sisters, Linda Collins Thompson of Beaumont and Carolyn Collins Jackson of Fort Worth; a stepbrother, Sam Goodnight of Levelland; two stepsisters, Pat Goodnight of Memphis and Jan Sustaire of Oregon; and six grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, April 16, 2002 Lois Annie Hight CLARENDON - Lois Annie Hight, 91, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Citizens Cemetery with the Rev. Truman Ledbetter, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hight was born March 12, 1911, in Spur, and was a resident of Guthrie before moving to Clarendon in 1958. She married Richard Lanham Hight on June 18, 1939, at Guthrie. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 10, 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Charlena Ford of Clarendon; a son, Larry Hight of Clarendon; a half-brother, Merlin Vincent of Prague, Okla.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Muffley Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jospeh Vest officiating. Mr. Beckwith married Jackie Nabours on Dec. 26, 1971, in Clovis. He was a zoo groundskeeper for the city of Clovis for more than 15 years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dallas Beckwith and Justin Beckwith, both of Clovis; a daughter, Natalie Riggins of Gruver, Texas; five sisters, Virginia Beckwith of Lubbock, Texas, Arlene Burden of Fresno, Calif., Vivian Burden of Klamath Falls, Ore., Delta Smith of Prescott, Ariz., and Arveta Haun of Delores, Colo.; and eight grandchildren. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Stafford graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1957. He was in the Air Force. Cremation will be by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Lemons was born in Shady Grove on Aug. 12, 1932. He had been a resident of Amarillo since 1938. He was a member of Painters Local for 40 years. He was a builder and remodeler and was an owner of That Precious Store. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Peggy, on Oct. 10, 2001; and a son in 1961. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Lockhart of Amarillo; two sons, Rick Lemons of Amarillo and Steve Lemons of Dallas, all with very special spouses; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Catherine Lusby and Wanda Murphy, both of Amarillo. Georgia St. Mr. Chadwell was a loving son, brother and father who loved to race cars and motorcycles. Mr. Perkins was born Aug. 6, 1925, in Erath County and had been an Amarillo resident more than 50 years. He retired after 41 years from the Texas Highway Department as a welder. He married Wanda Smith on March 31, 1945, in Hereford. He was a member of Eastridge Baptist Church, serving as a deacon. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Derrill Perkins of Amarillo and Chester "Bud" Perkins of McMinnville, Ore.; two brothers, Robert Dale Perkins of Boyd and Sid Derwin Perkins of Blanket; two grandchildren, Glyn and Micah; and four great-grandchildren, Leah, Taylor, Kayla and Lauren. Batson, pastor, and Dr. Winfred Moore, pastor emeritus, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Sizemore was born and raised in Muldrow, Okla., and graduated from Muldrow High School. She married Gene Sizemore in 1948 at Fort Smith, Ark. She has been an Amarillo resident for more than 50 years. She was the financial secretary at First Baptist Church from 1950 until her retirement in 1997. She was a longtime member of the sanctuary choir and played the piano for Wednesday evening prayer meetings. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991. Survivors include a sister, Lois Sharver of Modesto, Calif.; seven nephews; and five nieces. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church Music Ministry. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, April 16, 2002 Pauline "Polly" Sidwell Pauline "Polly" Sidwell, 95, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 14, 2002. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Sidwell was born Feb. 25, 1907, in Shawnee, Okla., Indian Territory. She graduated from Shawnee High School and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. She married E.C. "Gene" Sidwell in 1928. The Sidwells moved to Pampa in 1932 and were members of First Presbyterian Church in Pampa. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 13, 1999; her parents, Robert J. and Maybell Taylor Reid; and two brothers, William T. Reid and R.J. Reid Jr. Survivors include a son, Gene Sidwell and wife, Donna, of Amarillo; a daughter, Ann Fatheree and husband, Hobart, of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and her loyal caregivers, Lena Freeman, Helen Thomas, Doris Davis, Clara Davis and Senora Shoals.
