He married Emily Flossie Jones on Jan. 30, 1924, in Denton. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Scott of May; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He retired from Asarco Zinc Smelter after working there for 15 years. He was a member of San Jacinto Church of Christ. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Anchorage since 1958. He had been a resident of Amarillo since 1999. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Brenda Smith of Amarillo; a son, Wally Ray Jr. of Kingman, Ariz.; a sister, Betty Ratterman of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; a brother, George Lee Ray of Calgary, Canada; and seven grandchildren. Hughes St. Mrs. Collins was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for 37 years, where she worked in several ministries of the church faithfully. She was married to Jerry Collins for 58 years. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Ann Shaw and Ruby Smith, both of Amarillo; her adoptive daughter, Debbie Merrill; two sons, Frank Collins and Michael Collins, both of Amarillo; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Mrs. LaRue was born April 29, 1917, in Byers. She was a member and active in the United Methodist Church for many years, participating in the Methodist Women's Missions and projects. She enjoyed her work in china and giftware sales until she retired. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, C.O. "Dutch" LaRue. Survivors include her children, Jean Lange of Duncanville, Kenneth LaRue of Lindale and Joe LaRue of Round Mountain; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Murphy on Jan. 31, 1969, in Amarillo. She graduated magna cum laude from Rice University in May 1990. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was a certified pharmacy technician. She was a physical therapy technician at Methodist Hospital in Houston from 1990 throu 1993. She had been a resident of Kerrville since 1996. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Colin S. Murphy and wife, Erin, and Ryan J. Murphy, all of Houston; a granddaughter, Chloe Murphy of Houston; and her mother, Doris Wilcox of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Edwards and Becky Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery by Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Daugherty was born June 7, 1912, in Jacobia, to Bradley Daugherty and Cora Sprinkle Daugherty. He married Lois Ida Merritt on Aug. 2, 1946, in Dallas. He served in the Army from 1942-46. He was a painter at Ford Motors, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a member of ARL class. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2001; his parents; a brother; and seven sisters. Survivors include two sisters, Imogene Gerst and Ruby Hudson, both of Greenville; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Arguello worked for Clayton Senior Citizens Center for 27 years. She married Sam Arguello on Oct. 19, 1951. Survivors include her husband, Sam; a daughter, Olivia Arguello of Amarillo; a son, Richard Arguello of Clayton; two sisters, Clorinda Ortiz and Ernestine Sintas, both of Albuquerque; a brother, Johnny Sintas of Albuquerque; and three grandchildren.
