Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. J. McGaughy, pastor, and the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mrs. Noble was born in Chickasha, Okla., and had been a resident of Dumas since 1935. She had worked as a waitress and as a presser at a dry cleaning establishment. She was in the first Dogie Days parade and was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church. She married Theron Winford Noble on Dec. 14, 1935, in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 12, 1990. Survivors include a son, Wayne Noble of Dumas; a daughter, Gayle Funk of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Gloar Jr. - C.B. Gloar Jr., 79, died Monday, April 22, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mr. Gloar served in the Army from 1942-46. He was in the restaurant business more than 41 years. Mr. Urban was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Pheifer, Kan. He was a welder. He retired from Colorado Interstate Gas Co. in 1988. He was a Moore County resident for 47 years. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He married Jimmie Swinford in May 1996 in Dumas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy in 1993; and a son, John in 1992. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Maddox was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Lelia Lake, to WT and Alice Floyd. She attended Lelia Lake and Hedley schools. She married Bill Lowe on April 25, 1942, in Clarendon. Of this union four children were born. On Aug. 30, 1968, she was married to Marion Maddox. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Claude and was active in the community and church at Alanreed for many years. Her life was devoted to family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was "Granny" to all of the neighborhood children and her cookie jar was always full and available. She was a devoted friend to all and would share anything she had with others. She was preceded in death by her second husband; three brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Jeannine Hermesmeyer and husband, Frank, of Wall and Kathy Woodard and Jim Logsdon, both of Panhandle; two sons, Jim Lowe and wife, Janet, of New Ramer, Colo., and David Lowe of Amarillo; four stepchildren, Nancy Jackson of Vega, Newton Maddox of Claude, and Ellie McDougal and Gail Hill, both of California; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Hoggard of Hedley and Ellen Wade of Panhandle; and a brother, B.V. Luera, 66, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 21, 2002. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Tuesday in N.S. Mr. Luera was a school counselor at River Road. At the time of his retirement, he was a counselor at Highland Park schools. He was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Nara Visa, N.M., to Marcos M. Luera and Ernesta V. Luera. He lived in Amarillo for 49 years. He received his associate of arts degree from Amarillo College and bachelor's and master's degrees in education from West Texas State University. He married Erlinda Chavez in 1958 in Panhandle. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodolfo Luera and Horace Luera. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerry Lee Luera and wife, Debi, of Amarillo and Robert A. Her early years and schooling were at Burkburnett. She had a 37-year career at Amarillo National Bank, where she made many great friends. She loved life and will be greatly missed by all. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park in Plainview by Sanders Funeral Home. Mr. Elliott was born June 24, 1962, in Los Angeles. He graduated from Payson High School in Payson, Utah, in 1980. He served in the Marines from 1980 to 1983. He moved to Oceanside, Calif., in 1997 and was a customer service representative for Cox Cable. He was a member of the Assemblies of God Church. He moved to Lubbock in 1997. Survivors include his parents, Clinton H. and Wanda Elliott of Clarendon; two sisters, Teresa Wardwell of Clinton, Okla., and Robin Elliott of Lubbock; two brothers, Daniel Elliott of Temple and Billy Elliott of Childress; three nephews; two nieces; and four great-nephews. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo with the Rev. Jerry Coffman officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mr. Klahr was born May 3, 1904, one of nine children born to Harry Franklin Klahr and Emma Wycoff Klahr. He was born in Indian Territory in Oklahoma before it became a state. He was a retired dairyman in Oklahoma. He loved to work on his dairy farm, grow fruit trees and can the fruit. He made trips to Idaho in the summer and fished with Ernest Hemingway in the Big Wood River in Ketchum. He loved children and reading his Bible. He was the oldest Master Mason in the Oologah, Okla., Lodge. He was an active member of Southern Baptist Church his whole life. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Bernice; two sons, Arthur E. Klahr of Amarillo and H.R. Klahr and wife, Kimi, of Durango, Colo.; a daughter, Dolly Gartell and husband, Bill, of Amarillo; a sister, Mamie Breese of Siloam Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
