Mass will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Theresa's Catholic Church with the Rev. James Hutzler officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Merryman was born July 20, 1910, in Portsmouth, Va., to John "Jack" Spivey and Lula Walther Spivey. She lived for many years in Baltimore working in education as a teacher, before moving to Panhandle about three years ago. She was a Catholic. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Frederick Lindke. Survivors include a son, Jack S. Lindke of Pampa; and a grandson, Brian Lindke of St. Petersburg, Fla. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega with the Rev. Steve Cox of First United Methodist Church in Vega officiating. Arrangements are by Vega Funeral Home. Mrs. O'Dey was born Jan. 21, 1931, in Carter, Okla. She had lived in Vega for 20 years, working as a cook in restaurants for Don Krahn and Harvey Floyd. She moved to Amarillo 15 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, K.W. O'Dey; her parents, Tom and Blanche Breeze; and a son, Garrel Powers. Survivors include a daughter, Kerri Lynn Batenhorst and husband, Don, of Amarillo; and six grandchildren, April, Kayla, Michael, Garrel Jr., Lisa and Lori. Coltharp, 77, of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 12, 2002. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Family Life Fellowship with Dale Travis officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Coltharp was born in Gilliland. He served in the Navy during World War II, working as an electrician. He threw papers for the Amarillo Globe-News as a teen. He was a printer for 57 years, working for the Littlefield Newspaper, Clovis News, Amarillo Globe-News and Amarillo College. He owned his own job shops, most recently Star Printing. He was a crossing guard for Amarillo Independent School District for three years. He was a member of Family Life Fellowship, VFW, Lions Club, Funtime Rounders and Round Dance Club. Survivors include three daughters, Pam Hilbert of York, Pa., and Diann M. Wilcox and Janet Louise Travis, both of Amarillo; two sons, Ron Coltharp of Orange and Ken Coltharp of Taylor; a sister, Wyvonne Newell of California; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She worked for many years as a food service manager. She resided in Bivins Memorial Nursing Home for the past three years. She was preceded in death by her husband in June 1971; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Dockery in May 1978. Mr. Swisher served with the Army during World War II. He worked as a chef in many restaurants across the United States. He earned a bachelor of business administration degree from West Texas State College in Canyon. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division, Finance Division in the Army. His service was during the Korean War. He married Sue Jennings on Oct. 21, 1950, in Canyon. They lived in Canyon most of their married life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Keifer Lambert and Texas Rucker Lambert.
