Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Alanreed Cemetery with George Watson, Church of Christ minister of McLean, and Kent Watson, Church of Christ minister of Claude, officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hall was born Oct. 16, 1904, in the Looney-Eldorado area in Oklahoma. Her family moved to the Laketon community near Miami in 1908. She also had lived in Pampa and Lefors. She graduated from West Texas Normal Institute in 1923 and taught school in Whitefish, Glenwood and Alanreed schools prior to her retirement. She married George Marvin Hall on Aug. 30, 1923, in Clarendon. She was a member of Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 26, 1979; and two sisters. Survivors include three daughters, Beth Sharp of Clarendon, Jeannie Adams of Alanreed and Kay Hallum of Brownwood; a son, Jack Hall of Clarendon; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, May 16, 2002 Carl M. McClure Sr. DUMAS - Carl M. McClure Sr., 70, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in Oklahoma. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Temple Baptist Church in Dumas with Mickey Medcalf, cowboy preacher and family friend of Oklahoma City, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. McClure was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Ardmore, Okla., and raised in Enid, Okla. He married Jo Ann Busbee on Jan. 1, 1954, in Clinton, Okla. He has been a Dumas resident since 1956. He was a coach and a big supporter of sports for young people. He was employed for several years at American Zinc and Dumas Independent School District. He retired in 1997 as a gatekeeper for Diamond Shamrock after 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carla Jo McClure Reeves of Dumas; three sons, Phillip McClure of Oklahoma and Donald McClure and Carl M. McClure Jr., both of Dumas; two brothers, Fred A. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Cross was born in Wichita Falls on Nov. 26, 1931, and moved to Dalhart as a child. She graduated from Dalhart High School in 1949. She started her banking career in Dalhart, then moved to Amarillo, where she continued in the profession for 40 years. She married Carroll "Buddy" Cross on Oct. 30, 1955. She had been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for 50 years and was active there in St. Catherine's Circle. She had been a volunteer in the area, devoting time to Meals of Wheels, Hospice of Amarillo, Catholic Family Service, Zonta International Women's Service Club and tutoring students in the HOSTS Program. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 11, 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Teter and husband, Clay, of Charlotte, N.C., and Lisa Brea and husband, Ruben, of Richardson; four sisters, Gaynell Monroe of Amarillo, Carol Freeman of Dalhart, Dottie Bradshaw of Oklahoma City and Lynn Rutledge of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Don Koehler of Bakersfield, Calif.; her mother, Cecilia Koehler of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Caitlin Teter, Sean Teter, Claire Teter, Carolina Brea and Gabriela Brea; her dedicated caregiver, Kim Hoelscher; and many other beloved family members. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Windell Taylor, chaplain of Veteran's Administration Medical Center, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Gamblin was born July 7, 1918, in Golden, Wood County. He came to Amarillo in December 1918 and grew up and went to school in Amarillo. He served during World War II in the South Pacific with the 345 Bomb Group known as the Air Apache Strafers. He was a life member of DAV. He worked for many years as an automobile mechanic. In later years he became a gunsmith and owned his own shop to repair, work and build custom rifles. He married Ima Lee Graham in 1946 at Amarillo. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Charlotte Parks of Portland, Ore.; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild. "Jodie" Keplinger, 59, of Amarillo died Tuesday, May 14, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Brent Ashby and the Rev. Mr. Keplinger was born Nov. 8, 1942, the only child of "Kep" and Earlene Keplinger. Growing up in Dalhart, he garnered the award for Most Handsome and fell in love with Most Beautiful, Margaret Grasco. This union produced his pride and joy, two sons. He was a golf enthusiast and if he wasn't on the course playing the game, he was at home watching it. He was looking forward to the days when he and his three grandsons could spend their Sundays on the putting green. Survivors include two sons, Kurt Keplinger and wife, Keitha, and Bryan Keplinger and wife, Tammy, all of Amarillo; three grandsons, Blayne Keplinger, Lance Keplinger and Brodie Keplinger, all of Amarillo; an aunt, Jackie Vinson of Dalhart; and his two canine buddies, Rocque and Rowdy. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Sims was born in Lubbock and raised in Amarillo. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1966 and Amarillo College in 1992. She married Richard Sims in 1990. She has worked for Toot'n Totum in the corporate office and for Southwestern Public Service. At the time of her death she was working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was an officer with Southwestern Bell Pioneer Club. She was a member of Central Church of Christ where she served on several committees with the Central Singles Ministry. She was chairman of Eveline Rivers Christmas Project for the past three years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; and a son, Mark Eric Casey, in 1970. Mrs. Crouch was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Valley View, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was active in Daughters of the Nile, having held high offices in both Arkansas and New Mexico. Following her husband's military career she had lived in both Japan and Germany. Her smiling face and bubbling attitude made her beloved to all who knew her.
