Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Palmer Cemetery in Murray County, Okla., by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ellis was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Murray County. She was a homemaker and a member of Ninth and Bliss Church of Christ. She had been a Dumas resident since May 1997 and was a former longtime resident of Sulphur, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dirickson, in 1969. Survivors include two daughters, Avalene Sullivan and husband, Bob, of Dumas and Trudy Williams and husband, Gene, of Muskogee, Okla.; a brother, R.E. Hunter of Wynnewood, Okla.; a sister, Cleathel Chilcoat of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Valenzuela was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a meat processor at a packing plant. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Claude and had been a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 6 in Clarendon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; and a grandson, Macy Mark Thomas. Mrs. Martin was born July 8, 1912, in Margaret, to Christopher L. Carter and Jim Anna Pennington Carter and was raised in Anadarko, Okla. She married Cata Kemp on Nov. 5, 1938, in Claude. She moved to Dumas in 1942 where she lived until moving to Wheeler in 1997. She married Robert H. Martin on June 9, 1986, in Clayton, N.M. She was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church of Dumas. She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1981; her second husband in 1998; a daughter, Karen Vines in 1997; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; eight brothers; and five sisters. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was a retired welding shop owner. He was a lifetime resident of Wellington except during World War II, when he lived in Ashdown, Ark. He married Ellen Ryan Goodwin on Oct. 20, 1935, in Carlsbad, N.M. They had been married for 66 years and spent most of those years in Amarillo. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Buell accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and lived her life unto the lord. Memories are precious and we will cherish the wonderful memories that we have left of her. Her family and friends loved her dearly and if love could have saved her she never would have died. She was in God's plan and he took her when he was ready. She is now absent from the body and face to face with the Lord (II Cor. 5:8). Her family and friends will all look foward to the day that they will be united in resurrection. She was preceded in death by the recent passing of her son, Glenn D. Buell Jr.; and her husband, Glenn D. Buell Sr. in 1986.
