Toni moved back to Amarillo then to spend many years with wonderful friends at the Windwood Village where she lived. She moved to Amarillo in 1998 from Westcliffe, Colo. She was a school teacher for more than 32 years all over the world before retiring in 1994 from Weatherford Independent School District. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. After serving the Lord as a pianist and organist in many churches, she went home to be with her Heavenly Father. Mr. Parsons served in the Air Force where he began his long career in law enforcement. He was one of the first paramedics in the Panhandle. He belonged to the Waco Masonic Lodge No. 92 and was a 32nd degree mason. He was preceded in death by a son, Patric Parsons, in 1988. Survivors include his wife, Pam; a son, Michael E. Amarillo Globe-News, June 2, 2002 June Foy Bell June Foy Bell, 82, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 25, 2002. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Greenwood Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Mrs. Bell passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Fort Worth. She was born June 25, 1919, in Chicago. She was an Amarillo resident for more than 50 years and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Her loyal and loving husband, M.H. Bell, preceded her in death following more than five decades of marriage. Together, they dedicated themselves to the greatest passion in their lives, caring for a son and two daughters, plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A retired elementary school teacher, she transcended traditional roles during her young adulthood by earning a master's degree. Lifelong, she advocated the rewards of higher education, encouraging and supporting several generations of family members through college. She possessed a great love of camping and traveling. She inspired a reverence for nature and a passion for outdoor activities in each of the family members closest to her. Even through the final weeks that she endured Alzheimer's Disease with dignity and courage, her greatest pleasures remained spending time with her family and nature outings. Survivors include a son, Melvin Bell and wife, Beverly, of Farmington, N.M.; two daughters, Marilyn Brokenbek and husband, Art, of Plainview, and Lorraine Bell-Chambless of Fort Worth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
