Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Morrison Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Sweeten, pastor of First Christian Church of Stratford, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Childress was born Aug. 13, 1970, in Dumas. He was a resident of Dalhart and previously a lifetime resident of Dumas. He married Cristie Chumley on Feb. 18, 1995, in Santa Fe, N.M. He graduated from Dumas High School in 1988. He was a heavy equipment operator for D.E. Rice Construction of Borger. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kim Childress, on Jan. 18, 1996. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kallie of Dumas; his mother, Mona Parker of Wichita Falls; his fathers, Bill Noel of Dalhart and Gary Childress of Dumas; his grandmother, Mona Lisa Martin of Wichita Falls; his grandfather, H.R. Perry of Longview; a brother, Brian Noel of Canyon; a sister, Nicole Noel of Dalhart; three nephews; and two nieces. The family will be at 513 Coffee in Dalhart. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity; or to the scholarship fund for Kallie Childress in care of Dalhart Federal Savings and Loan in Dalhart and Dumas. Terry Cosby officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. West was born Oct. 5, 1950, in Lubbock, the son of Samie and Wanda West. He was a retired farmer and loved to fish and play bridge. Survivors include a son, Dale West of London, England; a daughter, Jill McCracken of Hereford; his mother and stepfather, Wanda and Truman Riddle of Lubbock; a brother, Jay West of Hereford; a sister, Jan Tardy of Austin; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Spurlock was born Jan. 20, 1930, in Buck Creek to William and Clara Mae Payne Clark. She lived most of her life in the Paducah and Swearingin area and was employed as an LVN for more than 30 years. Survivors include five sons, David Powell, Terry Harper and Donald Powell, all of Amarillo, Shayne Powell of Aspermont and Mark Harper of Vernon; three daughters, Judy Eslick, Jenny Alewine and Lisa Smith, all of Amarillo; a brother, Lonnie Allen of Paducah; a sister, Ethelyne Jolly of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She married Claude Nelson on Dec. 8, 1940, in Wellington. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993; a son; and her parents. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Parker of Dallas; a sister, Neva Baxter of Floydada; a brother, Aubrey Harrison of West Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Paramount Baptist Church with Dr. Gil Lain, pastor, and the Rev. Raymond Bowlin officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Camarata was born and raised in Amarillo. She was a 1952 graduate of Amarillo High School. She married Ross Camarata on Sept. 13, 1952. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this fall. She was a housewife and mother until she became the owner of the Juke Box 17 and the co-owner of S&R Furniture in the early 1980s. She then went to work for the American Quarter Horse Association from 1985 until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church for more than 40 years. She will be remembered by her love and caring ways. She was always ready to give good and wise advice with a smile. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Fuqua, in 1984; and a sister, Loise Barrett, in 1999. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Susan Thomason and husband, James, of Amarillo; a son, Scott Camarata and wife, Shana, of Amarillo; her mother, Loneta Fuqua of Amarillo; a brother-in-law, Lee Barrett of Amarillo; a stepgrandson, Kaleb Thomason of Lubbock; a niece, Cindy Barrett of Amarillo; and many other family members, friends and Piddles the poodle. Private committal services will follow in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Combest was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Paducah and graduated from Paducah High School. He then attended business school in Tyler. He was the personnel manager at Pantex from 1941 to 1945. He was an Army veteran having served during World War II. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. He married Callie Gunter in Amarillo in 1956. He was an automobile salesman and owned and operated an ice machine dealership. He was engaged in farming and ranching in the Panhandle area before retirement. He was active in the First Baptist Church of Panhandle and was a deacon. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Combest; and a granddaughter, Tonya Combest. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rene Brain and husband, Jeff, of Borger; a son, Rep. Larry Combest and wife, Sharon, of Lubbock; a brother, Ted Combest and wife, Tommye, of Lubbock; a sister, Theola Sams of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Haydn Combest of Florida, and Alisha Brain and Ashley Brain, both of Borger; and a great-grandchild, Mikala Combest of Connecticut. Mrs. Hathaway was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Tishomingo, Okla. She had been a member of the Tucumcari Hospital Auxiliary and had served as president of the organization. Mr. Davidson was born in Kenton, Okla., on Sept. 21, 1915, to Robert Davidson and Judith (Thornton) Davidson. He served 4T years in the Army during World War II.
