Mr. Sossaman married Shirley Burns on July 16, 1966, in Paducah. He was a trucker and a boot maker. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Shane Sossaman in April 1988; a sister, Cynthia Rochelle in 1997; a stepbrother, Stan Stinson; and his father, T.H. Sossaman. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Monica Stripling and Megan Sossaman, both of Childress; a brother, Bruce Sossaman of Friona; a sister, Carol Augusto of Arlington; his mother and stepfather, Gelene and Fred Stinson of Paducah; his stepmother, Sam Sossaman of Blooming Grove; a stepbrother, Steve Stinson; and two grandchildren, Michaela Stripling and Shayne Stripling. Mrs. Carver was born Oct. 15, 1907, in Hill County, Malone. She moved to Wheeler County in 1917 and spent most of her life here. Survivors include two sons, Glenn Carver of Amarillo and Michael F. Casteel, 74, of Canyon died Thursday, June 20, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Casteel was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Grayson County, to Rich and Alice Richards Reedy. She graduated from Collinsville High School. She married Bill Casteel in Collinsville in 1952. She lived in Piolet Point for 15 years, moved to Cooper for five years, then moved to Canyon in 1973. She was a 50-year member of Eastern Star. She was active in PTA in Canyon and Randall County Democratic Club. She was children's coordinator at First Methodist Church and taught a class in the children's department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister; and seven brothers. Survivors include her husband, Bill; a son, Brian Thomas and wife, Amy Lynn, of Leander; a sister, Alpha Lou Bass of Hurst; and a grandchild, Hannah Olivia Casteel. Mr. Huntington was born March 11, 1924, in Pioneer, to Hubert and Nettie Mae Harris Huntington. He graduated from Pioneer High School. He married Mary Tzouanakis in Greencastle, Ind., in 1946. He received his bachelor of science degree in physical education from Abilene Christian College in 1947. He served in the Navy and was a member of Church of Christ. After college he coached football at Hale Center, Van Horn, Wilson and Petersburg and later went into the crop hail insurance adjusting business. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Kathy Stevens and husband, David, of Keller, and Nancy Huntington and Betsy Huntington, both of Canyon; two sons, Jerry Huntington of Amarillo and Stephen Huntington of Barcelona, Spain; a sister, Zilla Cline and husband, Gary, of Hooker, Okla.; and two grandchildren, Lynda Stockton and husband, Glen, of Frisco and Jono Huntington of Santa Fe, N.M. He married Bernice Dees on Dec. 24, 1948, in Clovis, N.M. He retired from Texaco Refinery in 1983. He served in the Army during World War II and was in the Battle of the Bulge. He played for the Amarillo Gold Sox and loved golf. He was a wonderful family man, beloved by all and was a member of Central Parkway Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deborah Giles of Amarillo; a son, Mike Giles of Claude; a brother, Gary Dean Giles of Amarillo; several nieces and nephews; and six grandchildren. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. Mr. Tennyson was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Indian Territory, Okla. He had lived in Amarillo for about 10 years. He was a member of Chaparral Hills Baptist Church. He worked as a foreman in the machine shop at Cabot Corp. in Pampa before retirement. He married his wife, Ethel, in June 1988, in Stratford. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Murl Tennyson; and a sister, Lois Adams. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Raymond Tennyson Jr. of Indianapolis; a daughter, Carolyn Fields of South Lake; two stepsons, Ralph Hampton of Kerrick and Larry Hampton of Dumas; three stepdaughters, Sharon Wiebe, Lela Hager and Margie Huff, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Les Tennyson of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Harold Tennyson of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Elma White of Borger and Virginia Jaramillo of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
