Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Searcy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips was born April 6, 1915, in Estelline. She was the oldest 4-H Club member in Childress. Survivors include her husband, Jim; a son, James Monroe Phillips of Brownwood; three daughters, Rudene Wise of Clarendon, and Charlene Allcorn and Sue Cooper, both of Houston; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Calvary Baptist Church. Amarillo Globe-News, June 27, 2002 Floy I. Hays TULIA - Floy I. Hays, 89, died Monday, June 24, 2002, in Weatherford. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Rose Hill Cemetery with Trey Morgan, Central Church of Christ minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Hays was born April 1, 1913, one of nine children born to Constance and G.T. Wakefield in Floyd County. She married John S. Hays and they moved to Tulia in 1950. They farmed in the Tulia and Kress area for many years. For the past 15 years, she was in a nursing home in Fort Worth and Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982. Survivors include a nephew, Larry Wakefield of Willow Park; a granddaughter, Nicole Aguilera of Kress; a grandson, Ross Wakefield of Sacramento, Calif.; a great-granddaughter, Alexandria Aguilera; three great-grandsons, Jonathan Aguilera, Nicholas Aguilera and Trevor Wakefield; a brother, G.T. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Douthit worked for Energas, retiring in 1984 after 27 years of service. He was a veteran of the Army. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Don Willingham, associate minister of Westview Christian Church in Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Milbern was born March 19, 1953, in Dumas. He was a longtime Dumas resident, graduating from Dumas High School in 1971. He was a certified computer technician and lived and worked in the Fort Worth area. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred of Dumas; and a brother, John Milbern of Dumas. Survivors include his father, Robert Milbern of Amarillo; a brother, Joe Milbern of Iowa Park; his fiance, Rebecca Valdez of Fort Worth; a niece of Iowa Park; and a nephew of Iowa Park. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in West Amarillo Christian Church with Dr. Jim Garrett, senior pastor of Polk Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Goodrich was born in Cabool, Mo., and had lived in Amarillo more than 40 years. She worked for Freeman's Flowers for many years. She was a member of West Amarillo Christian Church. She married James Grant Goodrich in 1931 at Springfield, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967; and a daughter, Nancy Ellen Lower. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gregory James Goodrich, Russell Wallace Goodrich, Gerry E. Revis, Benjamin Phipps, Trenton Lower, Michael Lower, Justin Merryman and Mark Merryman. Survivors include a son, Robert Goodrich of Amarillo; two daughters, Barbara L. Revis of Gladstone, Mich., and Kathleen R. Merryman of Topeka, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Tyler, formerly of Amarillo, was born July 11, 1914, and passed away in a Fort Worth area nursing home. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Tyler, on Feb. 11, 1983. She moved to Amarillo in 1984 from Jonesville, Mich. She worked as a nurse for more than 30 years. She married Howard Pulling in 1941. She later married Kenneth Shields in 1951 at Angola, Ind. She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1947 and her second husband in 1983. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Wainwright and husband, Colin, of Amarillo; a son, Jack Pulling and wife, Sue, of Salisbury, Md.; a stepson, Dale Shields and wife, Nancy, of Hillsdale, Mich.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He served in the Navy from June 21, 1944, until his honorable discharge on June 19, 1946. He resided with his family in Orroville. He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd L. Anderson in 1995.
