Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of McLean with Larry Perkins of Trinity Baptist Church of McLean officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery McLean under the direction of Bailey-Ware Funeral Home. Mrs. Holloway was born to James Wesley Trout and Minnie Effie Jordan Trout at Buffalo Springs on June 7, 1910. She married P.O. Holloway on Aug. 8, 1946, in McLean where they lived and raised their family. She had lived in the Panhandle area most of her life. She was a homemaker and loved being with her family and many friends. Survivors include five daughters, Fay Crutcher, Effie Payne, Mary Richardson, Marie Adams and Jackie Donovan; five sons, Cecil Cooper, Jessie Cooper, James Holloway, Bill Holloway and Jim Holloway; a son-in-law, Tony Acuna; numerous grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; great-great-great grandchildren; eight sisters and two brothers. Amarillo Globe-News, July 6, 2002 Jimmie Lee Martin WELLINGTON - Jimmie Lee Martin, 65, died Friday, July 5, 2002, in Childress. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James McLeod officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Martin was born Jan. 10, 1937, to Dewey Daberry and Jewel Hendrick Daberry in Shamrock. She married Lyle Boone Martin on Aug. 24, 1960, in Wellington. She worked as a public school teacher and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996 and by two sons, Gus Martin in 1967 and Dewey Martin in 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Wood of Wellington, and a brother, Dudley Daberry of Shamrock. The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church of Wellington. Amarillo Globe-News, July 6, 2002 Charles F. Weaver MCLEAN - Charles F. Weaver, 86, died Thursday, July 4, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McLean Church of Christ with Jim Reyna officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Bailey-Ware Funeral Home. Mr. Weaver lived in the McLean area all his life. He retired from operating his Texaco station in 1976. Survivors include a son, Bob Weaver of Phoenix, and two grandsons. Mrs. Jacobs married Jeff Jacobs on June 5, 1955, in Roswell. She will be missed greatly for her charm, sense of humor and for the way she touched people's lives gently. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Felt Baptist Church with Glen Garoutte and Harold James officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, N.M., under the direction of Cimarron Mortuary. Mrs. Smith married Willington Smith on Nov. 26, 1934, in Clayton, N.M. She had lived in the Felt area since 1921. Survivors include her sons, John Smith of Tulsa, Okla., Claude Smith of Felt; daughters, Glenna Wells of Felt, Joy Savage of Beaver; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. Mrs. Watkins was born April 1, 1916, in Estacado, the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Emma Viola Kirkland Gooding. She married Robert Lee Watkins on July 31, 1935, in Tom Green County. She was a homemaker and a very active member of the Early First Baptist Church. She had lived in Early the past 45 years. She is preceded in death by her husband and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include sons and daughters-in law, Darrell and Lin Watkins of Canyon, Damon and Linda Watkins of Levelland, David and Donita Watkins of Denver City; daughters, Doris Moore of Clyde, Vera Jennings of Brookesmith and Janet Hinshaw of Stephenville; son-in-law, Jerry Hinshaw of Stephenville; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Bryan Parks officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with the Rev. Dale Bigham officiating. Mr. Wood drove a truck for Bruce and Son Van and Storage for many years. He was also a custodian for Central Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Wood of Bonita; Carroll Wood of Sherman; three sisters, Ruby Thompson and Lovie Taylor, both of Clarendon, and Dupree Linsteadt of Denison; two brothers, Artie Wood of Nocona and Vernon Wood of Fort Worth; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
