Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church with the Rev. Michael Colwell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mrs. Amador was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Yancy. She married Silverio Amador on June 8, 1964, in Plainview. She was a homemaker, a member of Guadalapanas and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Princess in 1997. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Vicky A. Vecchio of Dumas; two sons, Silverio Amador Jr. and Sammy Amador and wife, Leticia, all of Dumas; 10 grandchildren, Eugene, Timothy, Mickey, Carlos, Danny, Demetria, Silverio IV, Sammy Jr., Monica and Andrew; and a great-grandchild, Nicholas. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Alvino Alvarez, pastor of Word of Faith Ministries, officiating. Family burial will be at a later date in Llano East Cemetery. Mrs. Contreras was born in Eagle Pass and lived in Amarillo for most of her life. She graduated from Amarillo College with an associate's degree in 2000. She was employed at Dr. Alfredo Conde's office where she did clerical work. She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Almanza in 1972; and a brother, Sylvester Almanza in 1994. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Christopher Contreras and Nicholas Perez, both of Amarillo; her mother, San Juana Almanza of Amarillo; a sister, Alma Granadas of Amarillo; and three brothers, Manuel Almanza, Val Almanza and Javier Almanza, all of Amarillo. Georgia St. Mr. Welch was born May 13, 1944. He was an accomplished hairdresser and had performed professional shows in Dallas and Europe. Oliver, 81, of Amarillo, died Monday, July 8, 2002. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Highland Cemetery in Okemah, Okla. Arrangements are by Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Okemah. Mr. Oliver was born Dec. 10, 1920, in Walters, Okla. He had been service manager at Hudiburg Chevrolet in Midwest City, Okla., and later at Ray Jones Chevrolet in Amarillo. He served in the Air Force from 1943 to 1945. He married Charlyne Hawkins on May 21, 1939. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in San Jacinto Assembly of God Church with Melvin Suttle of the church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Tom Lakey and Larry Lakey, both of First Assembly of God Church in Lubbock, officiating. She enjoyed writing poems and giving them as gifts to family and friends. She was a nurse and took care of Tom Pickens in his home until he passed away in 1988. She married Wesley Lakey on Oct. 3, 1939, in Erick, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965. Amarillo Globe-News, July 10, 2002 Harry G. Waugh Harry G. Waugh, 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 6, 2002. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Dr. J. Pat Kennedy of St. Luke Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Waugh was born to Harry and Ruth Waugh in Burlington, Iowa, in 1925. He worked at Waugh Brothers Sporting Goods Store for his father and uncle during the summers. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1943. He was drafted in the Army and served his country as a medic in the infantry during World War II. He returned home in 1946 and began college at Iowa State University. He graduated in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and began work at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the weapons division. He married Dolores Oliphint Wright in Amarillo in 1976. He retired from Los Alamos after 40 years. In 1991, they moved to Amarillo and he became the first on-site representative at Pantex working for the Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board out of Washington, D.C. His family will remember him as a kind, compassionate, wise man of few words. "We will miss you PA." He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Jamie Wright. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Keely O'Neal and husband, Mark, of Amarillo; two sons, Ken Waugh of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mark Waugh and wife, Kathy, of Santa Fe, N.M.; two sisters, Jeanne Pointer of Des Moines, Iowa, and Beverly Cray and husband, John D., of Burlington; six grandchildren, Leigha Waugh and Kaleigh Waugh, both of Anchorage, Preston O'Neal and Mallory O'Neal, both of Amarillo, and Willow Waugh and Callum Waugh, both of Santa Fe; three nieces; and a nephew. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Lindsey married Dorothy Rankin on April 26, 1968, in Sour Lake. He moved to Homestead, Fla., with the Army before moving to Amarillo. He worked for the state comptroller's office for 23 years before retiring. After retirement, he spent time working on cars with his friends. She graduated from Hereford High School and attended West Texas State Teachers College. She married Wilford "Buddie" Taylor Jr. in the Jumbo community in 1934. She was active in her children's school activities and was a world traveler. She was a member of Eastern Star, Murray Bible Class and First United Methodist Church of Canyon. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; and a daughter, Edwyana Taylor in 1937.
