Mrs. Preas was born in Borger and was a resident of Lubbock for eight years before returning to Borger a year and a half ago. She was a licensed vocational nurse. She was preceded in death by a son, Louis Leon Preas. Survivors include her mother, Modean O'Daniel of Borger; a sister, Kathy Miller of Borger; a brother, William Wayne O'Daniel of Fritch; and a grandson, Louis Austin Preas. Mr. Burger was born March 18, 1943, in Shattuck, Okla. He was owner and operator of Plains Barber Shop. He was a member of Union Church of Spearman. Jeff Messer of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Mobeetie Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mr. Hovey was born June 12, 1926, in Kooskia, Idaho, to Ralph Winfield and Marie Rose Hovey. He married Mary Wakefield on Feb. 28, 1947, in Grangeville, Idaho. He served in the Navy, Air Force and the National Guard in World War II and the Korean War. He has been a Baptist minister since 1951. He was pastor at churches in Texas, New Mexico, Tennessee and Oklahoma. He moved from Conroe to Mobeetie where he served as minister of First Baptist Church in Mobeetie for 12 years from 1982 to 1994, when he retired. He was a member of the Baptist church, Masonic Lodge of Mobeetie, VFW and American Legion. Mrs. Muklern was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Clarendon, to Lloyd and Ethel Blackwell. She moved to Amarillo as a young girl. She returned to Amarillo upon her retirement in 1983 to assist her late brother Lewis Blackwell. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Lewis Ellis Grider. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; and a son, Charles A. Braddock, in 1998. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Caddo Cemetery in Caddo, Okla., by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Cochran was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Caddo, Bryan County, to Dr. Roy L. and Maudie Holmes Cochran. He graduated from Caddo High School in 1949, attended Southeastern State College, Murray State College and earned a chemical engineering degree from Oklahoma State University. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Germany in the field artillery counter-mortar radar. He married Gaylia Rackley on Aug. 31, 1956, in Kenefic, Okla. He was a certified safety professional and Texas State Board of Insurance representative. He was a lifetime member of American Society of Safety Engineers and served as president and held other offices. For 32 years he worked for Texas Employers Insurance Co. of Texas. At the time of his death he was a safety control consultant for Texas Association of School Boards and served many school districts in the Texas Panhandle. He was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. He was an advocate for Amarillo Youth Choirs and Troop 86 Boy Scouts of America, of which his grandson was a member. He and his wife accompanied the youth choir to Europe on a concert tour and chaperoned many Boy Scout activities. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Len Cochran and Dr. Bryce Holmes Cochran; and two nephews. She has been employed at Summit Financial Group since 1996, where she was a client service representative. She enjoyed sports and was very active in her children's school activities and sports. She was a vivacious person, who brought joy, happiness and love to all whose lives she touched. She was the light of her family's life and made them all so very proud. She will be missed by everyone. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University. He had worked for Utility Engineering for the last 20 years. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship where he served as a deacon. He married Kay Armistead on June 3, 1978, in Lubbock. He was a loving husband, father, son and friend. The humility and integrity with which he walked was a constant representation of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Isley joined her late husband, Melvin E. Isley, in receiving numerous awards and recognition for contributions to area higher education and non-profit organizations. She and her husband were contributors to West Texas A&M University. Their support included membership in Old Main Society and President's Circle, and support of the Distinguished Lecture Series. In 2001, she made a charitable gift to dedicate the Buffalo Terrace at WTAMU as a memorial gift to her husband. She contributed to the arts, including helping to design and make by hand the costumes for Amarillo's first performance of "The Nutcracker." She supported the development of the Lone Star Ballet. Her volunteer work included volunteering with the High Plains Epilepsy Association and work for suicide prevention. She joined her husband in receiving a Golden Nail Award in 1994 from the Chamber of Commerce Arts Committee for financial support from the arts. She was born in 1923 and graduated from Canute High School in 1942. She married Melvin E. Isley in 1943 at Elk City, Okla. During her husband's service during World War II, she moved to Dallas where she worked for Zales Jewelry and its founder, Mr. Zales, in his first jewelry store in Dallas. She then moved with her husband to Amarillo in the 1940s, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, for which she served as Chapter Sweetheart for a year. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Sun Porch Class. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 8, 2000. Survivors include a son, R. Mrs. Worley was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Gilmer, the fourth of 10 children born to Joseph Franklin and Delitha Jessimer Bryce Warren. She began school in Pampa. She married Daniel B. "Red" Worley on Dec. 13, 1941, in Childress. She moved to Amarillo in 1946 from Childress. She was a retired nurse, having graduated from Amarillo College School of Nursing in 1961. She was licensed to practice nursing in both Texas and Arizona. As a nurse, she practiced at Northwest Texas Hospital, E.J. Bivins Home, Baptist Hospital and Southwest Osteopathic Hospital. She was a member of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of Northwest Texas and Southwest Texas Chapters. She was a member of DAV Auxiliary and Paramount Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Priscilla Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer at High Plains Baptist Hospital, Harrington Cancer Center, St. Anthony's Hospital, hospice and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Texas A&M Mother's Club. She was nominated in 1986 for the "Seven Who Care" Volunteer of the Year. She had a passion for writing poetry. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 7, 1995; three brothers, Leonard Franklin Warren in 1994, Joseph Alexander Warren in 1997 and Lloyd Chester Warren in 1977; and a grandchild, Dee Shannon in 1995.
