Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Lee, pastor, and the Rev. James Martindale of McLean officiating. Burial will be in Dozier Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Martindale was born Sept. 16, 1910, in Hood County. He enjoyed being with people, but most of all, he enjoyed his children and grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, James Martindale of McLean and Kenneth Martindale of Shamrock; two daughters, Joy Uselton of Amarillo and Judy Abernethy of Kelton; a brother, Buck Martindale of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Willis was born in Wichita Falls and had lived in Amarillo since 1986. She was a graduate of Amarillo High School. She worked in medical insurance billing for Dr. Cotton and Dr. Stout. She married Christopher Willis on April 27, 1991, in Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Blaine Willis, Bryce Willis and Brett Willis, all of Amarillo; her parents, Sharon and Johnny Bivins of Dalhart; a sister, Kimberly G. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2002, in Santa Fe National Cemetery in Sante Fe, N.M. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Gasparovich was born and raised in Marion County, Iowa. While serving as a radio operator in the Army Air Corps during World War II, he flew missions over Europe. He was a POW and awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After an honorable discharge and return to Iowa, he married Pearl Mae Bartlett in 1945. Later they moved their family to New Mexico. He retired after 30 years with the Department of Defense working at Los Alamos Laboratories, Holloman Air Force Base, White Sands Missile Range and the Naval Weapons Center at China Lake, Calif. He continued to serve in retirement as a volunteer with RSVP and was a lifetime member of VFW, DAV and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson. Survivors include his wife; a son, George Gasparovich Jr. of Amarillo; four daughters, Patricia Ludwig and Priscilla Sheets, both of Amarillo, Paula Rodriguez of Wichita Falls and Pamela Thomas of Berkeley, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Phillips of Sanger, Calif. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Gleason was born in Bellflower, Mo. After being raised in Montgomery County, Mo., he moved to Amarillo in 1958 where he served as president of Public Steel until his death. He married Mary Lou Wheat in May 1934. He later married Adele Norman in 1985. He was a member and deacon at Trinity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife in 1984; and his second wife in 2001. Survivors include two sons, James N. Gleason and wife, Eva, and David L. Gleason and wife, Rudy Kaye, all of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Sammye Mantooth and husband, Ric, of Lubbock; a brother, Earnest Gleason of Fort Smith, Ark.; four grandchildren, Chris Gleason, Jenni Henderson, Katie Lewis and Sarah Gleason; three stepgrandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren. She moved to Amarillo in 1996 from Idaho. She worked as a seamstress at Helen's Unique Alterations. She married Kenneth Leonard in 1980 at Atwater, Calif. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Michelle Meal Yates of Columbia, S.C.; a son, Michael Mea Pfarr of Boise, Idaho; two sisters of Thailand; a brother of Thailand; and three grandchildren.
