Mrs. Garcia was born Feb. 24, 1957, in Sinton, to Guadalupe and Josephine Gutierrez Garcia Sr. She graduated from Happy High School in 1977 and attended Amarillo College. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church of Happy. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1993. Survivors include two daughters, Cherre Tijerina and Lacy Cruz, both of Happy; two brothers, Lupe H. Mrs. Knight was born on the Star Ranch in Parmer County and had been a lifetime resident of Parmer County. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Friona, Rebecca Lodge and the VFW Auxiliary. She married J.E. Knight on Aug. 22, 1936, in Clovis, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 14, 1991; and a son, J.R. Knight on Dec. 22, 1986. Private graveside services will be held. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Teter graduated from Booker High School in 1948 and joined the Army. He served stateside and in Okinawa. He married Mary Margaret Turner in 1952, and they had made their home in Amarillo since 1966. He graduated from West Texas State College in 1957 with a degree in chemistry. He practiced his profession until his retirement in 1997 from Pantex after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife in November 1999. Survivors include three sons, Curtis Teter and wife, Lezlie, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Clay Teter and wife, Kim, of Charlotte, N.C., and Kevin Teter and wife, Annette, of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Analisa Jernigan of San Diego, Arin Teter and Adam Teter, both of Colorado Springs, Caitlin Teter, Sean Teter and Claire Teter, all of Charlotte, and Kale Teter and Jacob Teter, both of Amarillo; and a brother, Doug Teter of Port Charlotte, Fla. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Thursday in Hammons Funeral Home Chapel. Mass was at 2 p.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Maher officiating. Mrs. Dolle was born Aug. 14, 1916, in Temple. She married Herbert O. Dolle on Nov. 5, 1935, in Littlefield. She was a member of Alter Society at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Littlefield Garden Club and Home Demonstration Club. She was an active DCCW member. The couple farmed near Littlefield until they retired in 1977. She loved gardening and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 19, 2000. Survivors include three sons, Bill Dolle of Maple, J.T. Dolle of Littlefield and Don Dolle of Canyon; two daughters, Sharon Dolle of Lubbock and Kay Pagel of Muenster; a sister, Dora Schlottman of Katy; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 7, 2002 Letha Elms LITTLEFIELD - Letha Elms, 88, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, in Lubbock. Services were at 10 a.m. Friday in Hammons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Horn of Vistacare Hospice officiating. Burial was in Littlefield Memorial Park. Mrs. Elms was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Briscoe County, the 10th child of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Anderson, a pioneer Briscoe County family. She attended school in Milo and Vigo Park before graduating from Tulia High School in 1932. She received her bachelor of science and master of education degrees from West Texas University's Teachers College in Canyon. She taught school in Bula, Littlefield and Silverton. She retired from Silverton ISD in 1979, after teaching first grade for 29 years. At the time of her retirement she had completed 37 years of teaching. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Silverton, attended First Baptist Church of Tulia and was an active member of senior citizens and Volunteer Senior Program of Tulia. She married Gilbert A. Elms on Feb. 1, 1936, in Littlefield. Pallbearers included Jonathan Elms, Zachary Elms, Eddie Elms, J.W. Bitter, Wayne Beasley and Jay Elms. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 26, 2001; her youngest sister, Mary Pearl Beasley of Tulia; and nine other brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Larry A. Elms of Lubbock; a daughter, Shirley Jean Cates of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
