When I was 8 years old, I was placed in the fifth grade with a group of youngsters who were my best friends for many years. After high school graduation, I attended Dillenbeck School of Expression. After graduation from there, I married Mell Pallette, a young lawyer. One of my best friends through school and later was Ruth Bowdle who married Clifford Seibel, a young teacher at Kansas University. Ruth and I both had baby boys. Hers is still living in Massachusetts. Mine was James William, known as Jimmie Bill, died before his second birthday. Mell and I had a happy few years together before his death. Through the years, the Pallettes and Seibels had who by then had a son, Richard, and a daughter, Peggy, continued to keep in close touch with frequent visits. Mell's death preceded Ruth's. Much later, Cliff and I married and moved to Amarillo where we lived happy, busy lives. I made frequent trips to Washington, D.C., with Cliff until his retirement where we spent most of our time traveling in the U.S. and abroad, the world we both enjoyed. His death prompted a change in my life from homemaker to resident at Park Place with Peg and Frank.
