Georgia St. Mrs. Butrum died of natural causes. She was born on Dec. 25, 1918, in Duneweg, Mo. She married James Raymond Butrum on Feb. 10, 1939, in Bartlesville, Okla. She retired as a licensed vocational nurse after working at Northwest Texas Hospital for 22 years. She was a member of High Plains Pilot Club. She became a Christian on April 12, 1926, and has been a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church since 1972. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 13, 1994. She was a former member of Sweet Adelines and was named "Member of the Year" in 1970. She was creative as an artist, painter and seamstress. She moved to Amarillo in 1943. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She attended Amarillo High School in 1945. She then attended North Texas State University, Amarillo College and graduated from West Texas State University. A second memorial service will be held in late September in Vega. Her body was donated to Baylor School of Medicine for cancer research. Mrs. Graves married John E. Graves on Feb. 27, 1953, in Nacogdoches. They lived in Vega from 1967 to 1996. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 3, 2002 Luta Bob Roberts DALLAS - Luta Bob Roberts, 71, formerly of Amarillo died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lovers Lane United Methodist Church with Dr. Stan Copeland and Dr. Dudley Dancer officiating. A reception will be held in the church parlor following the service. Arrangements are by Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home. Mrs. Roberts was born June 24, 1931, in Amarillo. She attended public schools in Amarillo and graduated from UT Austin with a master's degree in English at age 19. After briefly teaching in Amarillo and Lubbock public schools, she decided to enter the field of medicine and was accepted at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She received her MD degree in 1962 and completed a radiology residency at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. She was a board certified member of American College of Radiology. She was also a member of Radiology Society of North America and Texas Radiology Society. For the past 25 years, she was a staff radiologist at Dallas VA Hospital and an assistant professor of radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She especially enjoyed working with her colleagues and many friends at the veterans hospital. She loved to travel and was a great admirer of the fine arts. She was a true Texan and a member of DAR. She enjoyed her many friends and fun times in the Swingin' Saints Square Dance Club and Redus Bible Class at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. She was a kind, generous and gracious person. She loved her family dearly and cherished many happy times with her grandchildren. The strength, courage and determination she displayed during her extended illness with breast cancer leave a lasting legacy for us all. We shall miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by a son, Morgan Roberts in April 1984. Survivors include her husband, Larry; her children, Susan Driver and husband, Russell, of Irving and Clayton Roberts and wife, Cristie, of Dallas; her grandchildren, Wynn Driver, Angela Driver, Camille Driver, Melissa Driver, Laura Roberts and Clayton Roberts; a sister, Mary Hazelwood and husband, Jack, of Amarillo; two brothers, Richard Archer and wife, Ruth, and John Archer and wife, Dorothy, all of Amarillo; and several loving nieces and nephews.
