Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today and Sunday in Gililland-Watson Funeral Home Rose Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in La Iglesia de San Jose with the Rev. Gerardo Velasquez of San Jose Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mr. Varlea was born May 25, 1930, in Banta, Calif. He married Dora R. Ramos in 1968 in Hereford. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe Varela of Amarillo; a stepson, Ruben Contreras of Abilene; two daughters, Dalia Sanchez of Hereford and Diana Varela of Lubbock; a brother, Ernesto Varela of El Paso; four sisters, Elvira Varela and Lus Enriquez, both of California, and Amelia Lozano and Sara Moreno, both of Mexico; and three grandsons. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Kennedy and David Scott officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Eisenberg was valedictorian at Perryton High School in 1938. She worked as a paralegal for Social Security. Survivors include two daughters, Julie Chervenka of Turpin, Okla., and Kelley Eisenberg of Sayre; a son, Marc Eisenberg of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ron Ellington, pastor of Trinity Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 14, 1929, in Kiowa, Okla. He retired in 1987 as a technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. Survivors include his wife, Maxine; a son, Kenny Johnson of San Rafael, Calif.; a daughter, Sharon Nichols of Bridgeport; four brothers, Lynn Dean Johnson of Grants Pass, Ore., Paul Johnson of Peachtree, Ga., Nelson Johnson of Tulsa, Okla., and Robert Johnson of Ridgecrest, Calif.; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Citizens Cemetery with Don Stone, Church of Christ minister of Clarendon, officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. Payton was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Goes Station, Ohio, and had lived in Clarendon since May 2001. He was an Air Force veteran. Survivors include a daughter, Josephine Webb of Clarendon; two sons, Kenneth Payton of Groom and Rickey Payton of Woodward, Okla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Hughes St. Mrs. Pettie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Henry; and her husband, J.C. Pettie in April 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Dannette Coal and husband, Tim, of Chicago; three brothers, James Henry of Denver, Curtis Henry of Kansas and Lavern Henry of Amarillo; five sisters, Marie McDaniel and Rita Thorpe, both of Tacoma, Wash., Mickey Jones of Carlsbad, Glenna Elliott of San Bernardino, Calif., and Ray Dell Askew of Amarillo; three wonderful brothers-in-law; and three grandchildren.
