Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was a teacher and a farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He taught school in Boise City, Okla., Stinnett and Spearman high schools from 1963 until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, was a former member of Spearman Rotary Club, and was a member of Texas Retired Teachers Association. He was a Hansford County Commissioner for Precinct 1 from 1992 to 1997. He graduated from Wentworth Military Academy and West Texas State University. Mr. Mungia was born May 18, 1926, in Yorktown. He was a farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He married Lala Gonzales on Oct. 22, 1948, in Columbus. He enjoyed fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and caretaker. He was a Stratford resident since 1970. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Mungia, in 1977. Mrs. Blackerby was born in Eastland County on May 11, 1913, to Raymond R. Rogers Sr. and Martha Elisabeth "Bessie" Rogers. She grew up in Anson. On March 28, 1931, she married Lester Blackerby in Stamford. They moved to Clarendon in December 1980, when both retired. She had worked as a retail clerk, but since her first love was her Lord, followed by her family and the church, she was happiest serving as a pastor's wife. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Raymond R.
