Burial will be at noon in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Moore was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Fort Worth. She married Robert B. Moore on Aug. 26, 1939, in Clovis, N.M. Survivors include two sons, Dale Moore of Snyder, Okla., and Ronnie Moore of Fritch; a daughter, Linda Lane of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a sister, Erma Dee of Indiana; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dumont Cemetery in Dumont with the Rev. James Mantooth, pastor of First Baptist Church in Paducah, officiating. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. White was born June 1, 1920, in Dumont. He served his country during World War II in the Army. Survivors include a son, Ronnie White of Eastland; a daughter, Darlene Elmore of Paducah; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Sinches, 75, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in McCullough Street Church of Christ with Frankie Lemons, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Sinches was a custodian for Gray County Courthouse for more than 30 years. He was a member of McCullough Street Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Adella Sinches of Pampa, and Lola Price and Shirley Sinches, both of Amarillo; two sons, J.L. Sinches of Amarillo and Benny Sinches of Pampa; two sisters, Ada May Murray of Pampa and Mary M. Mack of Colorado Springs, Colo.; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Zaragoza was married to Raul Zaragoza for 48 years. She lived in Canadian from 1975 to 1994, when she moved to Roswell. Survivors include two sons, Efrain Zaragoza of Sonora and Mario Zaragoza of San Antonio; six daughters, Hilda Villavicencio of Houston, Genoveva Gutierrez of Carnegie, Okla., Leticia Lira and Rocio Colacchio, both of Roswell, and Francisca Zaragoza and Rosalinda Kindig, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Jose Vazquez of Canadian; four sisters, Anna Cervantes and Juana Cervantes, both of Canadian, Petra Martinez of Mexico and Tasha Hernandez of Waynoka, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Mr. Hall was a Navy Seal and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was associated with Soldiers of Christ and a member of American Legion in Borger. There are no known survivors. Joe Jernigan officiating. Arrangements were by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home of McLean. Mr. Troxell was born May 20, 1940, in Shamrock. He had lived in the Shamrock area all of his life. Survivors include two daughters, Shelly Overturff and Karen Teague, both of Shamrock; a brother, Don Troxell of Shamrock; and four grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 27, 2002 Amarillo Josephine Estella Attebury Prescott Josephine Estella Attebury Prescott, 45, of Amarillo died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in Stephenville. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Prescott was born May 29, 1957, in Amarillo, to Sam and Julie Attebury. She lived in Dublin the last four years. Josephine graduated from Amarillo High School in 1974 and attended University of Texas at Austin, receiving an undergraduate degree in political science. Josephine was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend to all who really knew her. Her family and friends will dearly miss her. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julianne Noel Prescott. Survivors include a son, Zane Prescott of Amarillo; her parents of Amarillo; and a sister, Suzanne Boyce of Amarillo. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Porter was born and raised in Amarillo. He was a computer technician in the C.I.S. Lab at Amarillo College from 1997 to 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Adrea Mitchell of Amarillo; a brother, Paul Porter of Amarillo; a sister, Susan Porter of Amarillo; his mother, Betty Porter of Amarillo; and a granddaughter. Burial will be in Shelby Chapel Cemetery in Athens by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Dr. Messer was born Jan. 9, 1947, in Cleveland, Tenn. He came to Amarillo with the Air Force in 1965. He served four years in the Air Force, three years here and one in Vietnam. Eddie attended Amarillo College, Lubbock Christian University and Lake Charles Bible Seminary. He earned his doctorate of ministry in 1997. Following several years working with Bell Helicopter and Colorado Interstate Gas Co., he entered the ministry with the Church of Christ in 1974. Eddie served congregations in Amarillo, Fort Worth, Sweetwater and Athens. At the time of his death, he was ministering with Central Church of Christ in Amarillo. He also preached in Vietnam where he was baptized, and did mission work in Eastern Europe. He was an author, poet and composer. Many of his works were copyrighted. Eddie met and married his first wife, Linda Park, of Panhandle in 1967. They served in ministry together for more than 25 years. She passed away while they were serving in Eastern Hills Church of Christ in Athens in 1998. In November 1998, Eddie and Barbara Jane Smith Messer were united in marriage in Amarillo. Together they taught Bible classes, workshops and authored a book. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kindra Messer; his brother, Jimmy Messer; and his parents, Calvin Messer and Inez Eaton. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Doug Messer and wife, Kristie, of San Saba, Paul Messer and son, Cruzz, of Abilene and David Messer and wife, Patti, of Bridgeport, W.Va.; a daughter, Alaina Messer of Mackinac Island, Mich.; stepchildren, Craig Smith and wife, Maria, and children, Ashley, Kirstie, and stepson, Cody Fabela, all of Amarillo, Brian Smith and wife, Krista, and children, Landon and Karlee, all of Dothan, Ala., and Ginger Breeding and husband, John, and son, JamesLee of Killeen; a sister, Peggy Richmond of Cleveland; and his stepmother, Olaree Messer of Cleveland. He was store manager for Heath Furniture before his retirement. During World War II he served in the Army. He loved to garden and loved his family and friends very much. On Sept. 1, 1940, he married his wife, Frances. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998; and a grandson, Chad Sheffield in 1999. Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Vaughn of Amarillo; three sons, Richard Sheffield of Amarillo, Robert Sheffield of Giddings and Larry Sheffield of Granbury; a sister, Ruth Nelson of Conroe; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Celebration of life graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Palmdale, Calif. Arrangements are by LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso. Mrs. Anderson married Mike Anderson on Oct. 6, 1984. They were longtime residents of Lancaster, Calif., and moved to Amarillo, Texas, in 2000. Survivors include her husband; two stepchildren, April Anderson and Michael Anderson, both of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Sandy Wingate of Lancaster and Lynn Collins of Auburn, Calif. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors. Mrs. Vigil was born in Bueyeros on Jan. 10, 1910. She lived on the family ranch and ranched into her mid-80s. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Garcia and Margaret Wagner, both of Clayton; a son, John E. Vigil of Bueyeros; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
