Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Chisum was a member of Central Baptist Church. She worked at Copper Kitchen in Pampa for 20 years. Survivors include two sons, Jack Chisum and Warren Chisum, both of Pampa; two daughters, Gertrude "Trudy" Weikel of Austin and Ruth Carter of Pampa; a sister, Vivian Locke of Pampa; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Moore was born Dec. 30, 1915, in Wheeler. She married Raymond Moore on Dec. 30, 1936, in Wheeler and they moved to Kelton in January 1937. She was a homemaker and lived in Wheeler County all of her life. She attended school at Corn Valley and Wheeler. Georgia St. Mrs. Mills was born and raised in Oklahoma and married Sylvester Mills in Lordsburg, N.M., in 1944. They raised their seven children in Missouri, Tennessee and California. Ida lived in Wheatland, Calif., for many years until she moved to Amarillo in 1997. Ida worked as a cook and baker at the middle school on Beale Air Force Base in California and worked for many years at Goodwill Industries in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by a son, David Edward Mills. Survivors include six children, Sue Mills, Ray Mills and Pat Berg, all of Amarillo, Dean Mills of Lebanon, Mo., Bob Mills of Kansas City, Mo., and Johanna Mills of California; a daughter-in-law, Cleta Mills of Joplin, Mo.; a sister, Pauline Chilcoat of Wheatland; two brothers, Bill Janway of Marysville, Calif., and Eugene Janway of Fayetteville, Ark.; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 12, 2002 Canyon Oscar H. Schuette Oscar H. Schuette, 77, formerly of Canyon died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in Denver. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Schuette was born in Canyon June 12, 1925, to Frederich and Gestine Wichmann Schuette. He received his bachelor's and master's degree from West Texas State University and his doctorate from University of Denver. He was professor of business education and business communications at Metro State College from 1969 until his retirement in 1992. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his stepmother; a brother; and a nephew. Survivors include three sisters; three nieces; and two nephews. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 12, 2002 Eddie Kent Wilson Eddie Kent Wilson, 45, of Canyon died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Canyon with the Rev. David Lowrie, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home of Amarillo, 2800 S. Osage St. Chief Wilson was born in Canyon. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1975. He attended West Texas State University in the fall of 1975. Chief Wilson joined the WT police force in 1976. He also served as deputy for the Randall County Sheriff's Office. During his law enforcement career he held the ranks of patrolman, sergeant and captain. He had served as chief of police for West Texas A&M University since 1989. He received his bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and a master of arts degree in political science and sociology. He was also a graduate of Law Enforcement Management Institute. He was a forensic hypnotist and was appointed to Board of Texans Standing Tall, a statewide coalition to prevent underage drinking. Chief Wilson served on a number of committees, including four from the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. He served as a member of the review board for Higher Education Center and was chairman of Department of Education Law Enforcement Task Force. He married Terri Williams in May 1978. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Canyon, Canyon Lions Club and Texas Police Chiefs Association. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kristen Wilson of Canyon; a son, Joe Dan Wilson of Canyon; his parents, Dr. Kenneth and Barbara Wilson of Canyon; two brothers, Mark Wilson and Dr. Brian Wilson, both of Canyon; three nieces; and four nephews.
