Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery with Rabbi Jeffrey Laynor of Dallas and Steve Gens of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Latman was born in Oklahoma on Oct. 26, 1912, to Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Finkelstein. She was one of six children. She attended Tulsa High School and graduated for the University of Oklahoma in 1936 with a bachelor of arts degree. She was married to Abraham Latman on May 23, 1937. She was a beloved wife and mother. She was active in Borger civic and social activities for 65 years. She was active in the Red Cross in Borger. She will also be remembered as a renowned artist. She was a member of Temple B'nai Israel in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by Pearl Gordon of Tulsa, Okla.; Dave Finkelstein of Pampa; and Betty Edison and Ida Abramson, both of Boston. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Abe; two sons, Judge Stanley Latman of Dallas and Dr. Neal Latman of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Lana Latman of Dallas; a brother, Joe Bauxar; grandchildren, Audrey Latman Gruber of New York, Candace Latman Baer of Houston and Brandon Latman of Los Angeles; and a great-grandchild, Jett Kenneth Baer of Houston. Greg Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Attica Cemetery of Attica, Kan., by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mr. Bell was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a developmental foreman for Phillips for 33 years. He retired in 1976. He loved to play golf. He married Fern Moore on July 3, 1929, in Newkirk, Okla. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995. Survivors include a son, Robert E. Bell of Fairhope, Ala.; a daughter, Shirley J. Yancy of Borger; two granddaughters, Beth Wolfe of Tampa, Fla., and Kathie Seleeth of Arlington; a grandson, Chris Yancy of Commerce; and three great-grandchildren. Dr. Jeff Knighton officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Perryton. Mr. Tevis attended Trinity Presbyterian Church of Perryton. He was a farmer and rancher. He was on the Farm Bureau Board, Equity Advisory Board, Soil and Water Conservation Board and the FHA Board. He was a member of the Perryton Ranger award-winning football team in 1939. He married Genevieve McCalmont on Oct. 26, 1949, in Austin. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Denzil Tevis and Trev Tevis, both of Perryton; and two grandsons, Trale Tevis and Ivan Tevis, both of Perryton. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 13, 2002 Grace Omega Skidmore BOISE, Idaho - Grace Omega Skidmore, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002. Graveside inurnment services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Shamrock Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock, Texas. Mrs. Skidmore was the last child born to the marriage of Lewis O. Norman and Jimmie I. Furgeson on Oct. 24, 1912, in Sanger, Texas. She married David F. Skidmore on April 14, 1934, and they enjoyed 55 years together in Shamrock before his death in 1989. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Shamrock and arranged flowers in the sanctuary for many years. She was a charter member and active in Shamrock Garden Club. She won "Garden of the Week" on several occasions. She was very involved in the Shamrock Cemetery Association and the Shamrock Historical Museum. She was awarded the "Woman of the Year" award in 1964 for her many contributions to the community, including her volunteer work for the United Way, Red Cross, Cancer Fund and local projects such as the Elmore Park beautification and Chairman of the Flower Show. She loved gardening, sewing, playing bridge, meeting with her Sunday school class and visiting with her many friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers; and six sisters. Survivors include many cherished nieces, nephews and their families. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 13, 2002 Canyon Charles David Stayton Charles David Stayton, 81, of Canyon, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002. Mr. Stayton was born in Blair, Okla., on May 2, 1921, to Leonard Fleming Stayton and Goldie May Kamenzind. He was a farmer and custodian most of his working life. He served in the Army in World War II and was a POW for nine months in Germany. He married Mozelle Harris Denney in Hereford on Nov. 7, 1959. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Turner of Hereford. Mrs. Stansbury was born Dec. 25, 1910, one of six children in St. Francis where her parents Fred and Anna Klinke had settled. She married Jack Stansbury on Aug. 10, 1934, in Amarillo. Together they owned Stansbury Equipment Co. from 1962 until his retirement. Their grandson, Alex, carries on the business. She was a longtime member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She was a kind, gentle lady and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 1, 1993. Survivors include a son, Ted and wife, Linda, of Amarillo; grandsons, Alex Stansbury and wife, Leslie, and their children, Ashley and Kurt of Amarillo; Lt. Col. Mrs. Boyett was born May 1, 1924, in Sedan to Fred L. Boggs and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Kile) Boggs. She lived in Wichita, Kan., from 1951 to 1985 and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Calvin Boyett, in 1993. Survivors include two brothers, Harry Boggs of Hagerman and Jack Boggs of Sedan; and two sisters, Gerturde "Gertie" Shields of Alamogordo and Nettie Wheelock of Amarillo.
