Holtzclaw, 89, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Tubbs, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Holtzclaw was born Aug. 10, 1913, in Slado. He was a Moore County resident since 1948. He retired from Phillips Petroleum in 1978 after 37 years of service. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Dumas, where he served as a deacon for 50 years. He married Millie Afton Husk on Nov. 9, 1934, in Perrin. He later married Juanita Hall on Dec. 1, 1992, who has been a wonderful, loving mate and faithful caregiver. He loved us all unconditionally and will be missed greatly by each and every one of us. He was preceded in death by his first wife, on Jan. 7, 1992; a grandson, Gregory Don Holtzclaw; his brothers; and his parents. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Don Holtzclaw and wife, Jessie, of Amarillo, and Doug Holtzclaw and wife, Juel Ann, of Goldthwaite; two daughters, Lulu Cowan and husband, Steve, and Theresa Ford and husband, Warner, all of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Debbie Holtzclaw, J.D. Holtzclaw, Douglas Holtzclaw, Brian Holtzclaw, Laurie Holtzclaw, Cliff White, Berkley Thompson, Casey White, Christy White, Chad Hall and Eric Hall; and great-grandchildren, Austin Holtzclaw, Ashlyne Holtzclaw, Addison Holtzclaw, Autumn Holtzclaw, Amy Holtzclaw, Trey Holtzclaw, Makenzie Holtzclaw, Ty Thompson and Makenna Hall. She retired in 1985 as a teacher and reading specialist from Sanford-Fritch ISD. Survivors include a son, Dr. Raymond Kliewer of Colonial Heights, Va.; and five grandchildren. Mr. Davis was born Jan. 2, 1924, to Thomas and Rhodie Davis in Tacoma, Colo. He was a farmer for several years and a mechanic and justice of the peace for Carson County for 12 years before retiring. He married Irene Estelle Vick on Nov. 23, 1944. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and a brother. Georgia St., with the Rev. Jeff Raines of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Hazelwood was born Dec. 28, 1907, in Denton County. In 1912 they moved to the Stinnett town site. On July 15, 1928, she married Clyde Robert Hazelwood in Hutchinson County. Mrs. Hazelwood worked 21 years at Sears, Roebuck as a division manager, retiring in February 1973. She then worked 10 years for Klines retiring in 1983. She also volunteered at Baptist Hospital from 1973 to 1995, where she worked in the gift shop. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo, BSA Auxiliary and Sears' Pioneer Club. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972; her son, Bob Hazelwood in 1999; her parents; three sisters; and a brother. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Hazelwood of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Cheryl Kautz of Roswell, N.M., Johnna Padilla of Santa Fe, N.M., and Leisha Kingston of Frisco; a sister, Hazel Lasater of Stinnett; six grandchildren; many loved nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Deanna Hazelwood of Artesia, N.M. Georgia St. Mrs. Dean was born in Matador to William Oscar and Georgia Leonard Williams. She married Durwood Dean in Canyon on March 16, 1941. She was a Methodist. He was formerly employed with Tri-State Metal, Meads Containers and was a self-employed construction man and carpenter, helping many friends in the community. Gail White; his mother, Alma White of Bryan; four sons; six daughters; a stepson; two stepdaughters; two sisters; and three brothers. Pogue CLAYTON, N.M. - Vivian V. Pogue, 92, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, in Amarillo, Texas. Family services will be private. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors. Mrs. Pogue was born in Centerville on Feb. 12, 1910, to Charles Daniel Baird and Cora Macon Pollard Baird. She married Roy Earl Pogue on Feb. 13, 1934, in Roswell. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 28, 1985; four brothers, James H. "Jim" Baird, Bob "O.C." Baird, Dewey Baird and Raymond R. "Joe" Baird; and three sisters, Audria Flack, Anna Rentfro and Ruby Pogue. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Lookingbill and husband, George, of Clayton and Beverly Sue Pogue of Amarillo.
