He served four years in seven different European countries while in the Army during World War II. He was in the 2nd Armored Division, "Hell on Wheels." He was a member of American Legion and attended Anna Street Church. He moved to Rock Island after the war and married Katherine Maxine Myers on Oct. 25, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Olive McFall; and all eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Anita L. Ricklefs of Manhattan, Kan., and Pamela E.
