Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Hoelting was born Jan. 27, 1919, in Nazareth. She married Ed Hoelting on Sept. 16, 1944, in Nazareth. Survivors include four daughters, Edna Rae Schilling of Dimmitt, Cynthia Schulte and Marilyn Birkenfeld, both of Nazareth, and Kathleen Mattingly of Logan, Iowa; three sons, Jim Hoelting, Tom Hoelting and Bill Hoelting, all of Nazareth; two brothers, Lawrence Dirks of Sallisaw, Okla., and Jerry Dirks of Canyon; 36 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 22, 2002 Lona Mae Williams WHEELER - Lona Mae Williams, 93, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, in Merkel. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wheeler Cemetery with Dr. Toby Henson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 22, 1908, to Ottie Dumas and America Pruitt in Putnam. She married Walter Lonnie Williams Sr., on Dec. 13, 1932, in Merkel. The marriage ceremony was performed by her father O.D. Pruitt. In Pampa she was a homemaker during World War II, where her husband worked at the Pampa Air Force Base. From 1949 to 1954, the family operated a dairy farm near Briscoe. Wheeler was home from 1954 where she was a longtime employee of the ASCS office. An active member of First Baptist Church and the Old Mobeetie Association, she enjoyed the fellowship of members, family and friends. Gardening and flowers were hobbies she thoroughly enjoyed. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; a son, W.L. "Dub" Williams Jr. in 1989; and a brother, B.L. Pruitt of Fort Davis. Survivors include two sons, James Williams of Wheeler and Huey Williams of Lovington, N.M.; four sisters, Ethel Snell and Mrs. John Boyd, both of Merkel, Etta Martin of Springdale, Ark., and Nell Weisbach of Beaumont; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Booth was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Clarendon and had been a lifelong Clarendon resident. She married Kenneth Dale Booth on Feb. 6, 1959, in Clarendon. She was a homemaker and a member of Clarendon Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Dale Booth on May 14, 1994, and her siblings. Mrs. Koetting-Williams was born March 11, 1923, in Groom to Frank and Anna Koetting. She married Horace Allen Williams on Aug. 1, 1942, in Abilene. She worked in the business office at Pantex during World War II. She later was a teller at First Bank and Trust in White Deer. She then worked in the business office at Richardson's Motor Co. in White Deer. She was business manager for Highland General Hospital in Pampa for many years. Next, she became parts manager for Williams Brothers Supply in White Deer before retiring. She was a member of White Deer United Methodist Church, Venado Blanca Study Club and Daughters of the Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; a sister, Sophie Bernice Koetting in 1930; two brothers, Paul James Koetting in 1930 and William Koetting; and her parents in 1963. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel. Mr. O'Quinn was born April 23, 1938, in Stratford, Texas, to Thomas Pierce O'Quinn and Telia Florence Shipman. He married Tresha Jones on Feb. 4, 1977, in Perryton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; three brothers; and a grandson, Joshua. Mlinar Clifford F. Mlinar, 85, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. James Bankhead officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Mlinar was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Stanton, Neb., to Mr. and Mrs. Anthony F. Mlinar. He grew up in Columbus, Neb., and attended University of Nebraska from 1936 to 1941, completing the education and business administration program. He also received his ROTC and rank of lieutenant in the Army while at Nebraska. In 1960, he attended University of Texas completing the executive development program. From 1941 to 1945, Cliff was in the U.S. Infantry 3rd Division in World War II. He received 11 Battle Stars, European Theater; Croix de Guerre with palm; and Presidential Unit Citation with 2 palms. He took part in the invasion of North Africa, Sicily, Italy and was on Anzio for three months and then participated in the invasion of southern France. He was overseas for three years. He came back to Amarillo and his wife, Peggy, who he had married on Jan. 4, 1942. In 1945, he went to work for Southwestern Public Service. He retired Oct. 31, 1982, as vice-president, consumer services and administration. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church where he was an elder. He also was active in many community affairs. He had been the past president of United Fund, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club of Amarillo, and was past chairman on the board of managers Amarillo Hospital District. He was vice president of West Texas Chamber of Commerce and director of Texas State Chamber of Commerce and past director of State Comprehensive Health Planning. He had been a member of Amarillo Club and Amarillo Country Club. He had served on local boards of directors of Red Cross, Salvation Army, Family Service and Boy Scouts of America. He had been director of American National Bank in Amarillo and was listed in Who's Who-Finance and Industry. He received the Silver Beaver Award from Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lynda Kizer and husband, Jim, of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Frank Mlinar and wife, Carol, of Greeley, Colo., and Dick Mlinar and wife, Jo, of Corpus Christi; two grandsons, Jay Kizer and wife, Shannon, of Fort Worth and Kurt Kizer of Dillon, Colo; and two great-grandchildren, Jenner Kizer and Abby Kizer, both of Fort Worth. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He volunteered his time at the Suicide Prevention Crisis Intervention Center for 13 years. He was a member of Texas Association of Counseling and Development, Amarillo Baptist Ministerial Alliance, Texas State Teachers Association, National Education Association and a member of Paramount Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1948. Survivors include his wife, Frances; a son, Robert H. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Jones was born July 25, 1906, in Oklahoma Territory to parents, J.R. and Samantha Stroud. She graduated from Southwestern College in Weatherford, Okla., and received her master's degree from West Texas State College in Canyon. She taught public school for 40 years in Oklahoma and Amarillo where she taught fifth grade at San Jacinto Elementary School. After retirement she volunteered at High Plains Baptist Hospital and at Amarillo Senior Citizens Center. She never met a stranger, she always had a humorous story to tell. She was a longtime member of Paramount Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Buford A. Jones. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Jo Kaplan of Dallas; and a son, Marvin Jones of Dallas. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He attended Texas Tech University and North Texas University. Mr. Exposito worked in the restaurant industry in Dallas, was executive chef at "Bourbon Street Cafe" in Tulsa, Okla., and later opened "Those Guys Off Sixth" in Amarillo. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
