Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Tadlock lived in Borger for 63 years, having recently moved to San Jacinto, Calif., to live with her daughter. She will long be remembered as the lady who owned Edna's You Pump It Mobil Station. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jean Gaines of San Jacinto; a sister, Opal Jones of McLean; a daughter-in-law, Jean Tadlock; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Catholic Church with Monsignor Norbert Keuhler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Padilla was born April 10, 1918, in Galisteo, N.M. He was a boiler operator for Phillips Petroleum Co., owned and operated Padilla Construction, and was a bricklayer. Survivors include his wife, Jennie; six daughters, Mary Belle Newman and Rosalie Swink, both of Borger, Mary Jane Fagan and Kathryn Robertson, both of Broken Arrow, Okla., Barbara Sadler of Denver, and Anita Smith of Yukon, Okla.; two brothers, Abe Padilla and Nick Padilla, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Eliza Anaya of Las Vegas, N.M., and Terry Padilla Cruz of Santa Fe, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1308 Cooley and 2998 Fairlanes Blvd. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 30, 2002 Kenneth King Beaty BORGER - Kenneth King Beaty, 54, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, in Mustang, Okla. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Mustang United Methodist Church in Mustang. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Westlawn Memorial Park. Oklahoma arrangements are by McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service. Local arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. On April 25, 1993, he was captured by a band of Iraqi border agents claiming he had crossed into Iraq from northern Kuwait. He was released in November 1993, after 205 days in a Baghdad jail. Survivors include his wife, Robin Delise Smith Beaty; two daughters, Jordan Alexis Beaty and Austin Makenzie Beaty, both of Borger; a stepfather, J.C. Prince of Fritch; three brothers, Robert Beaty and Jerry Prince, both of Borger, and Bill Beaty of Kermit; and a sister, Sharon Smith of Fritch. Mr. Baker had lived in Sudan since 1924, moving from Chillicothe. He was a member of the Navy during World War II and he was a farmer. Miss Bradley had lived most of her life in Shamrock. She was born July 28, 1929, in Clarendon, to Rosa and Rubert Bradley. She was a good student of the Bible. She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a member of Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in North Fairview Cemetery in Wellington. Mr. Branch went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002. He was born Oct. 14, 1917, on a farm in Hopkins County. He was in the construction business in Wellington for many years before moving in 1964 to Amarillo, where he managed a motel. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maggie, in 1991; a son, Billy, in 1998; and six great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Betty; a daughter, Novelle Hamilton of Panhandle; three sons, Don, James and Gary, all of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors of Amarillo, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Carpenter was a subcontractor in the drywall business. He currently was working as a truck driver for G.W. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 30, 2002 Alice Scott Alice Scott, 90, of Amarillo died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church Chapel with Dr. Murray Gossett officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Scott, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Philip, was born in Racine, Wis., on Oct. 16, 1912. She graduated from Washington Park High School, Racine, in 1930. She then graduated from Evanston Hospital School of Nursing, affiliated with Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., in 1935. On Dec. 16, 1939, she married Dr. Wilbert E. Scott and they were married for 62 years. They lived in Atlanta until 1947, at which time they moved to Amarillo. For many years, Mrs. Scott was very active in Potter-Randall County Medical Auxiliary, including serving as president during 1953 and 1954, and active with Amarillo Symphony Guild, serving as president from 1961 to 1962. In addition, she was involved in her children's school PTAs and was a former member of PEO. She served as office manager at her husband's medical office from 1970 to 1987. Mrs. Scott was also an active member and former Sunday School teacher of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, E. Philip Scott of Austin; a daughter, Kay S. Hibbetts and husband, James, and their two children, Christopher and Kimberly, all of Dallas; and a sister, Rose P. Youngs of Racine. House Johnny S. House, 70, of Amarillo, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Lake Tanglewood Community Church with the Rev. Roger Hubbard of the church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. House moved to Amarillo in 1958 from St. Louis, Mo. He worked for Phillips for five years and started at Pantex in 1959. He was a production manager and then retired in 1994 as the protocol manager. Mr. House served in the Army in the Korean War. He also built homes in Amarillo for several years. He was a member of Lake Tanglewood Lions Club and was past president of Lake Tanglewood board of directors. He also served in other capacities. He married his beloved wife, Joy, on April 9, 1955, in Pampa. Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry House and wife, Karen, and their children, Amy, David, Laura and Jeffrey, all of Houston; two daughters, Denise Ward and husband, Lindsay, and their children, Greg and Bryan, all of Houston, and Sheri Palomo of Franklin, Tenn.; two sisters, Alene Kitchell of Bartlesville, Okla., and Mary DeLozier of Chelsea, Okla.; a brother, Clifford House of Chelsea; his mother-in-law, Bertha Eckles of Canadian; and numerous nieces and nephews. He married Roberta Knapp on Sept. 15, 1983, in Amarillo. Mr. Epp was born Jan. 13, 1909, in Beaver County. He was a member of South Church of God for more than 25 years. Survivors include three sons, Aaron Epp and Ivan Epp, both of Turpin, and Rodney Epp of Lawrence, Kan.; a sister, Anna Zinn of Liberal; four grandchildren; and eight grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 30, 2002 New Mexico Harry Cazzola ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Harry Cazzola, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002. Rosary and Mass will be said Thursday in Queen of Heaven Church in Albuquerque. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Logan Cemetery in Logan by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Cazzola was born in Prescott, Ariz., on Aug. 17, 1912. He was a commissioned lieutenant in the Army. He was in charge of several CCC camps in New Mexico. He began a hardware store in Cimarron and during World War II, he was called to the Pacific Theater as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Edward B. Cazzola and wife, Linda, of Albuquerque and Harry J. Cazzola and wife, Deborah, of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, Rachel Cazzola of Albuquerque, Laura Cazzola of Marietta, Okla., Daniel Cazzola of Flower Mound, Texas, and Phillip Cazzola of Denver, Colo.; and three great-grandchildren. Brown, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in South Main Church of Christ with Murphy Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery by Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Mr. Brown was born in the Panhandle and went to school at Stratford. He served as an officer in the Navy in World War II in the South Pacific, returning to receive his degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University. He went to work for the Texas Highway Department in 1949, working in Weatherford, Fort Worth and later retired in Austin as district engineer after 38 years with the highway department. He was a member of Church of Christ, serving as a deacon and later as an elder for Cameron Road Church in Austin. Survivors include his wife, Nell; two daughters, Arlene Karnes and Ellen Wilson, both of Weatherford; a foster son, Jay Fox of Bastrop; four grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister Marlene Knapp of Amarillo. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 30, 2002 William David Kelly PORTLAND, TX - William David Kelly, 72, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Limbaugh Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Watson officiating. Burial will be in San Patricio Memorial Gardens. Mr. Kelly was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Aransas Pass, the son of J. Houston and Pauline Kelly. David spent his early years on the Gulf Coast and as he put it, "had salt water in his veins." He had a varied career, serving in both the Marines and Air Force. He worked for a time in the oil fields of West Texas. In the 1950s, he moved his family to Amarillo and spent a number of years as a police officer there in various capacities including a liaison officer with the Potter County District Attorney. He later went to work for the district attorney as an investigator. His services as an investigator with integrity and an air of professionalism were much in demand and eventually led to his forming Allstate Security Industries Inc., which he owned and successfully operated, along with former police chief Wiley Alexander and FBI agent Doug Hubbard, until the mid-1970s when he returned to the coast that he loved. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Benson; his stepmother, Ann Kelly; and a daughter, Ramona Dean Kelly. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann; his father of Beeville; three sons, Robert Kelly and wife, Jeanne, of Daleville, Ala., David C. Kelly and wife, Linda, of Mineral Wells and Michael Kelly of Amarillo; two daughters, Louella Wilson and husband, Lloyd, of Seguin and Michelle Ryan of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, Brandon Bailey, Amanda Haney, Ann Forehand, Steven Kelly, Kevin Kelly, Leanna Kelly, Cory Ryan and Taylor Ryan; two great-granddaughters, Kira Forehand and Kaitlyn Haney; a brother, John C.
