Graham, 84, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors, Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Keith Murray, pastor of Haslet United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Jim Teeter, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pampa, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Graham was born April 6, 1918, to Inez Osborne Parker and Noah J. Parker. She was church secretary at First United Methodist Church for 15 years and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Brumbelow of Fort Worth and Mary Nell Duvall of Pampa; a son, Charles Graham of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Ortiz was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Coachila, Mexico. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Pedro; two sons, Pedro Ortiz Jr. and Alfred Ortiz, both of Hereford; a daughter, Esperanza "Hope" Martinez of Hereford; three brothers; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 3, 2002 Patrick Homer Salmon CLARENDON - Patrick Homer Salmon, 86, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Citizens Cemetery of Clarendon with Sherman Eastland, chaplain at Northwest Texas Healthcare Systems, officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. Salmon was born in Brice, Hall County in 1916. He married Eunice Ruth Reynolds in 1945. He served in the 74th Field Artillery Battalion in Europe during World War II. He returned to Hall County to farm until 1959 when he moved to Amarillo to pursue a career as a woodcraftsman. He built furniture and clocks while working at Maywood Inc. for 25 years. He continued to live in Amarillo until moving to Dallas in 2000 to live in Eden Terrace Retirement Center where he resided until his death. He was a non-denominational church member. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Salmon, in 1997; and a son, Richard Salmon, in 1974. Survivors include two daughters, Zackie Salmon of Laramie, Wyo., and Pati Salmon Gordon of Dallas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Rosary will be at 4 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Joe Bixenman, of the church, officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Anthony's Cemetery of Hereford. Mr. Herrera enjoyed shooting pool and riding his Harley-Davidson. He was a construction worker and a mechanic. He married Glenda Gonzales on Nov. 26, 1984, in Hereford. He had a big heart and was a giving person who loved everyone. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Herrera of Amarillo; a daughter, Nicole Herrera of Amarillo; his parents, Johnny and Selda Rosales of Amarillo; three brothers, Rudy Moreno of Amarillo, Michael Robinson of Wichita, Kan., and Gabriel Herrera of Sacramento, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Georgia St. Mr. Britten was born in Groom to Carl Frank and Catherine Kuehler Britten. He married Kay Reid-Morrow in Amarillo in 1985. He had owned and operated Bob Britten Bookkeeping and Tax Service since 1954. He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Robert D. Britten and grandsons, Phillip, Patrick and Ben in 1996. He grew up in Vega and graduated from Vega High School. He participated in football and basketball in school. He was employed at the Home Plate Diner as a cook and was preparing to attend paramedic's school. Survivors include his mother, Maria Flores of Vega; his father, Albert Flores of Amarillo; a brother, Chris Flores of Amarillo; a sister, Lyann Flores of Colorado Springs, Colo.; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Moody was born May 29, 1931, in Amarillo and was raised in Amarillo. He was a butcher by trade. He had also worked for M&L Transfer and for Beacons Transfer. He loved his horses and his pet dog and cat. The family would like to thank all the ladies at Crown of Texas Hospice for all their kindness and prayers throughout Bill's illness. He was preceded in death by his father, D.L. Moody, in 1968; and by a baby brother in 1936. After graduating from Amarillo High School in 1954, he enlisted in the Navy. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Taylor was born in Anadarko, Okla., on Dec. 6, 1912. She married Clyde Taylor on Nov. 4, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and long term active member of South Lawn Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Dale Taylor and wife, May Lee, and Don Taylor and wife, Peggy, all of North Richland Hills; a daughter, Jeanette Daniell and husband, Gregg, of North Richland Hills; two sisters, Mildred Hogue of Oklahoma City and Erma Faye Bartlett of Amarillo; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 3, 2002 Winfred Homer Wileman DOWNEY, Calif. - Winfred Homer Wileman, 82, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Miami Cemetery of Miami, Texas, with Lance Wood, pastor of Miami Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa, Texas. Mr. Wileman was born July 12, 1920, in Eric, Okla., to Wilber Franklin and Jessie Mae Howard Wileman. He had been a resident of Downey for more than 50 years. He retired in 1986 from KFI Talk Radio Station as an engineer after having served for 62 years in the profession. He honorably served our country during World War II in the merchant marines as a lieutenant and spent two years overseas during his time of service. His primary hobby began at the age of 13 as an amateur radio operator and had reached the extra class level. His call letters were W6A1. He also obtained his pilot's license and flew his own plane for many years. He was known to be a very social person and enjoyed visiting with people. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. He was always upbeat, very outgoing and honest. He is remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Joyce; a son, Ronald Wayne Wileman and wife, Kathleen, of Huntington Beach; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Molly Certain of Monroe, La.; two grandchildren, Steven Dennis Wileman and Jay Thomas Wileman; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Wileman, Brittney Lauren Wileman, Cayla Brook Wileman and Austin Ty Wileman. The body will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. Monday to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
