They had twin sons Malcolm Thomas Johnson and Michael Richard Johnson, born May 11, 1943. She was a member of the Retired Texas Teachers Association. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 26, 2002. Mrs. Henson was born Oct. 7, 1914, in Commerce to Benjamin and Stella Cowan Wiggs, and died in Amarillo on Nov. 9, 2002. She had four sisters and one brother, two of whom have preceded her in death. She attended East Texas State University in Commerce where she met Virgil Henson whom she married four years later after teaching in a one-room schoolhouse. She moved to Canyon as a bride in 1937. They were with West Texas A&M University for more than 50 years. She also directed Training Union, was president of WMU, and active as a GA leader for many years. She was a member of Sue Hite Federated Club since 1937 and served in every office of that club, served on the Randall County Library Board for many years, was a member of Merry Maids and Matrons 42 Club, the Priscilla Club, and Canyon Retired Teacher Association. She assisted in the Canyon Art Gallery for 37 years. The family will be at 2 Bogey Circle. Mrs. Garcia was born Nov. 27, 1938. She married Frank Garcia on Dec. 9, 1972, in Las Vegas, Nev. In the 1980s she was an EMT in the Panhandle Ambulance Service and worked with her paramedic husband. She was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary for the Panhandle Fire Department. She had been an active bowler for more than 30 years. She also worked with MDA for many years. She was a homemaker and a long-time former member of The Mothers Club. She was very involved in the First United Methodist Church where she was a member and was in the Win One Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 20, 1996; and a daughter, Velma Geraldine Robertson on Feb. 28, 1983.
