Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Mrs. Addison had been a resident of Pampa since 1956. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 20, 2002 Ruby M. Huntsinger DALHART - Ruby M. Huntsinger, 95, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, in Dumas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Dalhart Church of Christ with Dean Whaley, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mrs. Huntsinger was born Dec. 29, 1906, in Sayre, Okla. She married Floyd Huntsinger on June 5, 1924, in Sayre. Survivors include a son, Karl Huntsinger of Cambridge, Va.; two daughters, Wilma Gray of Dalhart and Luetta Warren of Burbank, Calif. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 20, 2002 Ted Simmons McLEAN - Ted Simmons, 72, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Jim Reyna, minister, Brian Quisenberry, pastor, the Rev. Thacker Haynes, Carl Cox and James Martindale officiating. Masonic rites will be provided after the service. Arrangements are by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home. Mr. Simmons married Dorothy Sue Davis on March 12, 1949. He was well-known as a rancher, auto dealer and public servant. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ted Davis Simmons and Mark Quade Simmons, both of McLean; a daughter, Susan Sebeth Parsley of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 20, 2002 Douglas Patterson Spears CHILDRESS - Douglas Patterson Spears, 51, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002. Memorial services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with family members officiating. Mr. Spears was born Dec. 9, 1950, in Eldorado, Ill. He was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Vietnam era. Survivors include his father, Donald Edward Spears of Childress; his mother, Mary E. Spears of Galatia, Ill; his stepmother, Vivian Spears of Childress; a sister, Mary Cara Smalley of Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Ron Spears of Allen; and a stepbrother, Tom Madison of Childress. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 20, 2002 Amarillo Joseph Clementine Weaver Joseph Clementine Weaver, 86, formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, in Milwaukee, Ore. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Llano East Cemetery with Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Military rites will be by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Weaver was born in Mercury. He was the last surviving son of Alice and Marshall Franklin Weaver. His twin sister died when he was 11 months old. Mr. Weaver was a Seabee and served with the Navy 96th Naval Construction Co. during World War II. He received the Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, Philippines Liberation Medal and a Purple Heart. After the war, he briefly worked for the Amarillo Fire Department and later worked as a diesel mechanic for ICX Trucking Co. for 18 years where he had zero road failures. Mr. Weaver was a member of Church of Christ in Milwaukie and a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Arah Lorene Lindsey on Sept. 5, 1936, in Benjamin. He was preceded in death by a son, David Leon Weaver in 1944. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Patsy McCathern of Snohomish, Wash.; two sons, Ronald Dale Weaver of Beaver Creek, Ore., and Bruce Lynn Weaver of Milwaukie; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 20, 2002 Doyle O. King Doyle O. King, 77, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Murray Gossett, associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. He was a longtime Amarillo resident. Mr. King joined the Army during World War II in the Quartermaster Corps. He served in the Philippines and the Battle of Manila. After his discharge, he went back to work for Amarillo Hardware Co. where he was first a territorial salesman and lived in Perryton. He later moved to Amarillo and retired as assistant sales manager. He continued work for Amarillo Hardware part-time after his retirement and was recently honored for 60 years of service with the company. Mr. King was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He married Bonnie Norwood on April 2, 1942, in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife on June 25, 2001. Survivors include two sons, Rick King of Pampa and Mark W. King of Amarillo; a brother, Kenneth Wallace of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Lois Coffman of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 20, 2002 Marvin Lloyd Pruitt Marvin Lloyd Pruitt, 80, of Lake Tanglewood, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lake Tanglewood Community Church with Dr. Roger Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Pruitt was born and raised close to Abilene. He later joined the Air Force upon the start of World War II and became a second lieutenant pilot. He married Jean Hodges and began work for GE Supply. He started Pruitt Supply, an electrical distributor, and sold the company in 1988 to retire. He married Paula Dickson in 1979. He was a member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church, Khiva Shrine, Abilene Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and was a Knight Templar. He was preceded in death by his sister, Opal Dee; his parents; his first wife, Jean Pruitt; and two brothers, TG and FM Pruitt. Survivors include his wife, Paula; a daughter, Vicki Schrandt and husband, George, of Lake Tanglewood; a son, Mark Pruitt of Amarillo; a stepson, Myles Hanna of Dallas; a stepdaughter, Alana Barclay of Amarillo; a grandson, Steven Pruitt; a granddaughter, Lindsey Pruitt; and a brother, Aulton Pruitt of Abilene. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 20, 2002 Mamie Lou Allred Mamie Lou Allred, 87, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Park Place Towers with the Rev. Lynn Garrett of First Baptist Church officiating. Private burial will be by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. As a child, Mrs. Allred played the piano and her father preached as part of the Buchanan Street Baptist Outreach program. She was a very successful businesswoman in the insurance business. She retired from Western National Life Insurance Co. Mrs. Allred volunteered at BSA Hospital for 10 years and she enjoyed walking every day. She loved her family and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Norman Usleton and Cecil Allred, and six brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Victory Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Chaffin officiating. Burial will be later in Kenton by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Prater was born April 1, 1951, in Clayton, N.M. She was employed by OSU Extension and Research Center for 27 years. Survivors include her husband, Les; a daughter, Shawna Lynn Heppard Prater of Guymon; a son, Skyler Guy Prater of Guymon; her mother, Bonnie Heppard of Kenton; six sisters, Betty Sechler of Kenton, Bonnie Miller of Boise City, Brenda Collins of Clifton, Colo., Janet Winfrey of Parkman, Wyo., Katy Thrall of Richfield, Kan., and Barbara Rogers of Canon City, Colo.; and three brothers, Butch Heppard of Woodland Park, Colo., Allen Heppard of Amarillo, Texas, and Wayne Heppard of Canyon, Texas. Mr. Jones was born Oct. 31, 1929, in Rochester. He married Freddie Lawson on Aug. 4, 1951, in Clovis, N.M.
